They watched the podcast and you guys are just so grateful and so thankful to have things like that. I got to keep the heavy weights in the back, bro. speaker-0 (04:26.69)
Yeah
speaker-1 (04:27.192)
sent its fridges as replacement.
speaker-2 (04:29.858)
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Uh-huh.
speaker-0 (04:32.524)
Silver and black fats. What's up guys?
speaker-2 (04:40.555)
I'm surprised people order the Mendoza jerseys, but you know what? This is how you know the the current players on the team aren't petty if I was one of these new guys I would have picked the number 15 and Had Mendoza have to pay me to get that number from me
speaker-2 (05:02.19)
Can you imagine the number of Raider fans that would have lost their heads if when the new players jerseys you know they put them out earlier if one of them would have been a 15 Oh my god, everyone who ordered Mendoza 15 jerseys would be losing it right now
speaker-1 (05:16.91)
man. I got ask you a question. We'll start early. What did you think about the new intro?
speaker-0 (05:19.726)
But
speaker-0 (05:25.738)
speaker-2 (05:27.116)
I was just listening, didn't see.
speaker-1 (05:29.038)
Now, I show ended up, it's only like 47 seconds.
speaker-2 (05:31.822)
I noticed that because I was like, oh damn, he's already introducing us. I doing something and then I came back. I like it. That's cool.
speaker-1 (05:37.614)
I'm going to spiff it up a little bit more than that, the shorter the better I found. So out of my research I've done with how to change things up to keep people. Yeah. Cause the other one's too long. People fade out and they don't stick around.
speaker-2 (05:43.352)
Boom.
speaker-2 (05:47.905)
Yeah
speaker-2 (05:52.65)
Hmm. You know what? What I do is run down. It's a little different because People tend to come in during that time. I Noticed it was long when I listen cuz will does his show on the Spotify So was that good show? I damn good to the show already,
speaker-2 (06:11.809)
Yeah, but that was just on his shoulder.
speaker-0 (06:15.022)
But you guys are right, man. Hey, so we just already started, right? Everybody's talking about Tyson. Everybody's talking about Dan Orlovsky and what he's saying. It's the biggest news in Raider Nation, right? The whole world broke because somebody has a different opinion. Guys, I-
speaker-1 (06:30.679)
Okay
speaker-2 (06:31.266)
Can we just like establish like why that's news though now?
speaker-0 (06:36.118)
Alright, you want to establish why it's news now?
speaker-2 (06:39.64)
Yeah, because Max is back. So the Max trade shit's over, right? The draft is a month away. There's no drama with the Raiders right now, which is crazy, right? So why not just create something?
speaker-1 (06:53.058)
We're not used to this quietness.
speaker-2 (06:55.008)
No, no, no, yeah, we're not. Yeah.
speaker-1 (06:57.526)
It's always something hectic and stupid going on.
speaker-2 (07:00.063)
Yeah Yeah, that's why it's like it makes sense when people start doing this especially this draft because there's no like
speaker-0 (07:09.166)
clear number one quarterback.
speaker-2 (07:10.584)
Yeah, I mean there is because it's Mendoza But it's not like this Mendoza or somebody else, know what I mean? Like every like let's just turn in the ticket and the draft starts at number two Like that's how I feel like it is
speaker-1 (07:25.678)
No. No. No. He said, he need to, we need to wait. We need to hold out that little bit of hope. he might do something different. So stop it.
speaker-0 (07:37.196)
Jeff, and I'm gonna we're gonna get into it this today because I do have some questions for you. You know, we're talking we always talked about trade back. know you're on the trade back trade.
speaker-2 (07:45.39)
train this motherfucker is the conductor
speaker-1 (07:48.142)
the
speaker-2 (07:51.842)
Yeah, he's a dude without a shirt shoveling the coal
speaker-0 (07:56.344)
I also have certain questions on that because even though we're saying, trade back, now that there is no clear number one guy, why would teams want to trade back? Why would they want to trade for that number one pick? And I'm going to ask you guys that. We'll get into that later. But yo, let's get into the Dan Orlovsky thing, man, because. Simpson is the best quarterback in this class. I think when you look at the body of work and what was asked of these two quarterbacks, you have to start with the question.
Who needed to do more to carry their football team to play well? Ty Simpson, and it's not close between those two quarterbacks. Who took more games over throughout the course of the season? Ty Simpson. It's not even close. And if we're asking, like, OK, we're trying to see what you are as a player in college and what you're going to be asked to do in the NFL and what translates. I start with, what do you do in moments of panic with the football? Because that's really what separates good to great.
I would tell you that Ty Simpson is more consistent in that regard. There's not a ton of moments of panic out of Fernando Mendoza. And then there's moments when he immediately drops his eyes and becomes a runner. Ty Simpson more consistent in that. What guy was asked to do more NFL throws? When I say NFL throws, I'm talking 15, 20, 25 yard in routes, crossing routes, deep corner or sail routes. Ty Simpson, and it's not even close in that regard. Downfield throws, the posts and the goes.
I think they're close. Mendoza throws a lot of go routes and he's good at it, but I think they're close. RPO get it out. That's probably what Mendoza's offense was right and then I think thrown on the move. They're both relatively equal, so when it comes to moments of panic and big throws, real NFL throws, I think it's clearly tie Simpson.
speaker-1 (09:42.924)
So it is, mean, to be clear, this will get a lot of attention that you feel this way because you are at this point, think one of the most, one of the people whose opinions on this stuff matter the most and everyone has their opinion and it is, this is certainly going to be an unconventional one, but you're comfortable saying if you had the choice between the two of them, you would take Ty right now.
speaker-0 (09:59.598)
I would much rather have, and I like Fernando Mendoza. This is not to slight Mendoza. I would rather have Ty Simpson at the 15 to 20 range than Fernando Mendoza. Mendoza, it's the reality. It's hard to find one game that you sit there and go, Mendoza was the best player on the field, either team. Maybe they'll house a big 10 title game and even then there's like two throws in that game. But you go.
speaker-1 (10:11.246)
And it feels like that's the way.
speaker-0 (10:28.28)
cut on the Vandy, Missouri, Wisconsin, first Georgia game, you're going, Ty Simpson looks like the best player in the field, and the only reason Alabama's in the game. And so he just wasn't asked to do a lot. And so I think it's really hard to watch the tape from Indiana this year and sit there and go, all the things that we're gonna ask, the number one pick, the number one pick to do, there's just not a ton of examples of it.
speaker-1 (10:49.964)
Let's roll the tape. have to...
speaker-0 (10:52.886)
All right, and they get into the tape and they start talking about the tape, right? So he comes out, gives his different opinion. Jeff's been given this opinion for the past three months, right? That we should have dropped it in different manner.
speaker-2 (11:05.91)
Different manner though
speaker-1 (11:08.938)
the
speaker-2 (11:16.012)
Yeah
speaker-0 (11:25.9)
Let me ask you guys this, why is it that his opinion has broken the internet, has broken Raider Nation? I'd be like, is it because he's stating fact that there is no number one real quarterback? Or is it because there are those doubts that everyone has?
speaker-2 (11:43.342)
Look man, we do the YouTube thing right? Yeah, and if we were to come up here every week and tell you how awesome Mendoza is Awesome, which is how much we love him. It would really come really redundant What you makes used to make this show spicy was when he had the other guy on here Although sometimes he would get carried away, right? But it brings that spiciness and there's nothing wrong with what he said, right?
There's there's truth to it. But then there's I always say perspectives to it as well Why didn't Mendoza throw that many times in Indiana because Indiana had a hell of a running game? right Alabama did it Alabama lacked the running game if Simpson had a running game in Alabama. It might have been a little different for him, right? It started off good for him. And then that's why he phased away So, I mean, I think they both have their their thing, but I'll say this to us
Shout out to him for not being afraid to put that out there and have people call him dumb, stupid, idiotic. I was listening to Q show, bro. Somebody was telling him that if ESPN has a drug test, because this guy should be tested for crack. I was like, bro, God forbid. I have a different opinion. And the reason I say that, because I was Orlovsky last year when it came to Ashton Gentry.
Okay. So I've been in that seat, bro. And there's nothing wrong with having a different opinion. You know what I mean? There's just different reasons. It is all just on how you see it. And I don't think he once said that he was better than Mendoza though. He just said he doesn't like Mendoza at number one. And you get more value out of taking Simpson later than you would out of using Mendoza with that one. Cause then you could do other things with that one. If that makes sense. That's
I saw I didn't see him up there and say not once did he say Mendoza sucks not once did he say Simpson is better than Mendoza, right? But it's just the way people like to hear and take things in special reader fans right now because we're all sitting on Mendoza, bro Mendoza Mendoza Mendoza Mendoza
speaker-1 (13:57.642)
I'm just tired of the home and those are thing being pushed in your face without any, you know, people will just sit there and say, well, he won Heisman or he won the national championship. So look what he did in the, you know, but there's more to than just winning the Heisman and winning the national championship. Yeah, that's great. mean, definitely I'm not knocking him for it. He had a great season. There's no two ways about it, but don't keep pushing it in my face. That's the only option out there that
that we can go with is we got to take him at number one at all costs. Right. My favorite is when they say, well, if it doesn't work, then we'll just try again. Well, that's a piss par attitude with the number one overall pick. If you ask me, if you're going into it, well, if he works out as court, if he doesn't work out as our quarterback, then we'll just reload and try again.
speaker-2 (14:46.2)
That's what any pick though any pick is a gamble. No, no, is guaranteed. Yeah
speaker-1 (14:51.468)
the
speaker-2 (14:56.056)
Neither is multiple picks and hoping they all
speaker-1 (14:59.31)
When you take a guy that's a bona fide, like let's just say for Caleb Downs, okay? You know probably about 85 % he's gonna come in and he's gonna be a plug and play guy. He's gonna stop. You know that? He's too athletic and he plays in a position that... But he doesn't play in a position that has that much pressure on him. When you're the quarterback, you're expected to come in and be that guy. And if you're not that guy, then it's all for naught.
You know what saying? Like the pressure on us on a rookie quarterback, especially if he's going to start it's up, you know? So that's a totally did. Now, if you took him at say pick number 10 or 12, he's the pressure is not as high because he's not the number one overall pick. That's the whole point. Pick in a draft. That's huge.
speaker-2 (15:32.515)
here.
speaker-2 (15:45.611)
I think for the many
speaker-2 (15:49.55)
For the Mendoza fans, that's Mendoza's thing though. He hasn't made it seem that that's what bothers him. Like mentally, it hasn't seen this is too much for him. You saw what happened to Diego, right? The minute he got a little bit of glamour, if I could once it like he took himself way out of the picture. Mendoza has yet to do that. Even in the games. Exactly. Mendoza hasn't shown that. And I get what you're saying though.
speaker-1 (16:14.882)
Yeah.
speaker-2 (16:19.512)
About him having that that that that attitude that personality the pressure of a quarterback I think that's the one thing I do notice from Mendoza He doesn't seem to be one that will crumble with it or can is that it lets him bother because he's in see that way He just wants to play ball, you know, he's not out here like you have to take me number one You have to take me number one. You know what I mean? He's just like I'm gonna play wherever I play
speaker-0 (16:45.824)
All right, here's my take, right? We've all been talking about it since the end of the season. There's no clear cut number one. There's no guy that we were like, hey, man, this guy's like head and shoulders above another guy. But people are acting like this.
speaker-2 (17:05.988)
my god. Who's acting like that, bro?
speaker-0 (17:06.402)
Bye.
speaker-2 (17:13.002)
the
speaker-1 (17:18.294)
He got him!
speaker-2 (17:23.5)
Maybe Liff has me too busy these days, but I don't see it that way.
speaker-1 (17:31.65)
Hey!
speaker-2 (17:33.022)
I'll be right back.
speaker-0 (17:34.722)
People are questioning, they're going like, Mendoza is not the number one pick. They're like, now it comes to them that there's possibility of this guy not being the best player in the draft.
speaker-2 (17:47.222)
And that wasn't what he said though, but he never said take Simpson at one.
speaker-0 (17:52.204)
He didn't. He said, more he likes taking. And that's like, let me ask you. And that's why a lot of people go like, Hey, I'd rather take some some later on. It's more value.
speaker-2 (18:02.67)
That's what Jeff is. Jeff is more players later. Yeah.
speaker-0 (18:08.364)
And I agree with you. And I'm like, here, let me ask you that. We're not in that position, though. We're not in a position to say, hey, you know what? We're going to move back and get more value at this moment. Right. And right now, like my question for you guys was, right.
speaker-2 (18:25.954)
I should have done super chat well.
speaker-0 (18:28.078)
Super chat
speaker-2 (18:30.542)
See you there.
speaker-0 (18:32.526)
Gotta find that cheeto. You read it, you put it up.
speaker-2 (18:33.966)
You want me to read it? could do it. Shout out to my boy on six thoughts on us bringing in two way superstar from USC Dustin that played running back and strong safety for a top defense.
speaker-1 (18:47.118)
30.
speaker-2 (18:52.067)
As much as I would love more talent on this team, I think we're good at running back and dying.
speaker-2 (19:01.666)
man he's hilarious he's so- Will, like what's going on we gotta tell Will with that reference. No we'll tell you later like off screen.
speaker-0 (19:08.126)
Alright, hit me with that.
speaker-0 (19:15.16)
We were talking about, right? We were talking about the whole Dan Orlovsky thing, but there was a response to that. Chase Daniels came out and this was Chase Daniels said, different opinion, right? Different strokes, different.
speaker-2 (19:21.174)
Yeah,
speaker-2 (19:30.178)
Man, you two non-HALA fame quarterbacks.
speaker-0 (19:33.194)
into a lot of people. Actually, I agree with a lot of that. A lot of everything that he's saying. Big time throws, the type of throws that you need as an NFL quarterback. Ty Simpson does that. And you look at the first eight games, just purely on film with Ty Simpson, there was no better player in all of college football. I'm talking number one overall pick out of doubt. And it just looks, the mechanics just look good, man. They look beautiful. He looks like an NFL quarterback. He feels like an NFL quarterback.
He's a good dude, he's a leader, he's a coach's son, all that stuff. Here's what I think Dan's missing a little bit, is that the Fernando Mendoza piece, you start on December 6th in the Big Ten Championship game, that gauntlet that Fernando Mendoza went through, Ohio State, Alabama, Oregon, Miami, and the way he played through all of those nine total touchdowns in those four games, the most important game of his entire career with an Indiana team that a lot of people didn't give a lot of hope to go beat the...
of college football that heart poise all that stuff. Fernando Mendoza is ready to play right now. There's no doubt about that. I think they're really close. I do think Fernando Mendoza is the number one quarterback though. Ty Simpson. mean, who knows the career right now. It's really close, but I would go with Fernando because of those last game. He says because of those last game. So let me ask you.
speaker-2 (20:56.034)
This next session section is brought to you by Monster Energy Drink. Monster, the drink of champions. All go ahead.
speaker-1 (21:03.532)
you
speaker-2 (21:08.046)
the
speaker-0 (21:13.23)
That was Jaden Daniels, right? So that comes to mind. Is the regular season or postseason evaluation more important when you're evaluating a quarterback for you guys? Basically saying, is it in prime time that you're like giving more evaluation for or during the regular season? hey, Jeff, I'm gonna start with you, bro. All right, brother.
speaker-2 (21:15.16)
Thanks, Daniel. Yeah, yeah. Not you.
speaker-1 (21:40.588)
I think it's definitely a mix of both, but you gotta remember when they're in the college playoffs, they're going up against superior teams. know, those, all the teams are there for a reason, you know, cause don't forget during the regular season, those schedules are made up by that school, you know, by their, by their athletic directors. So they, they decide who they're going to play throughout the season. Obviously they have to play teams within their own division, but they pull fluff games too. know, so teams like
Like Notre Dame, they set their scoops up. They have to play certain teams, but then they also throw in some other games in there where, you know, they play a much lesser competition. USC, they all do the same thing. They have to fill so many in their division. So I look at it this way. When they get to the college playoffs, the teams you're going against, again, they're there for a reason. It's much stiffer competition.
And it doesn't stop the entire time from your first playoff game right up to the last championship, you know, to the championship game. So, I mean, I'm not putting all the stock in just the game like some people do. It's like you got to look at his whole body of work too, you know? So when you evaluate, I mean, he's going up against tougher defenses. You got to kind of look at the playoff, I think a little bit more.
speaker-0 (22:58.718)
Tito.
speaker-1 (23:01.528)
Bye!
speaker-2 (23:03.31)
College football fan bro, me tell you this college football is not the same anymore You the playoffs is a new thing. So to sit here and say we created off the postseason. That's new This year was the most teams that have been in the playoffs So this is the first time you've seen someone play that many games, right? the the one thing I'll say to with the schools and the thing like that and I always changed a lot of it Alabama used to have the best players in the country
Alabama doesn't have the best players in the country anymore. Teams like Indiana would not have the players that they have if it wasn't for NIL. So you have to look at it a little different when it comes to that. What I've done is what I've listened to scouts, different people, when it comes to Mendoza and other quarterbacks is see how he's improved from where he was at Cal to when he got in Indiana and what he started doing differently. Not so much the national championship run, the wins, because that's a team effort.
Right as much as we want to say nobody thought Indiana was gonna win we all saw with our own eyes That was a really good team. That was a way better team than any of us thought when they started playing football like that defense was Knocking people the way I didn't know Indiana could right? but I will say that you just look at the how they perform in big-time situations look at Dante more and he's come out and said that he's had like mental not mental health issues, but
It was more of a confidence problem after that championship game, but he's only 20 years old. So you get to see the maturity in them. What happens when they go to different programs? Do they adapt easily when they go to a different program? Right at Cal Mendoza was a gunslinger gunslinger. Why didn't most of us not know him at Cal? Cause I'm in the West coast. So unless you stayed up seven, nine o'clock at night to watch Cal bear games, you had no idea that Cal was playing.
And that's the thing with college football. We just see the national prime time gains is the ones that you see, right? So you really have to dig deep into where they were, who they do, who they played with, how they adapt, right? One of the greatest arms that I think in college football, his name is Nico, transferred from Tennessee to UCLA has completely disappeared bro, because there's no talent around him. There's no coaching, there's nothing, you know, and he's fallen victim to that. Doesn't mean the kid doesn't have talent.
speaker-2 (25:29.794)
And then you look at someone like Fernando. Fernando went to Indiana, coached dignity, a good program up and coming program. This isn't their first year. They made the playoff last year. You know, last year, the greatest team in the nation, Notre Dame, knocked them out. Well, what?
speaker-1 (25:46.638)
You he was gonna get something in that final spin.
speaker-2 (25:49.87)
But I mean and then the vast the thing with college now you can evaluate it the way we used to even the way we evaluate players has to start changing Clint Kubiak said it too, right? I look at how many times these kids entered the portal That shows me do they want to play ball? Do they want to learn or out they out there chasing the bag? So all that gets like looked into now when you look into evaluating Talent in college, bro. It's so different now than than in mine in Jeff's era. Yeah
speaker-0 (26:20.838)
And man, I just agree with you with, but for me, when you evaluate everything, Crunch time for me, like especially crunch time situations and big time games. I do want to like weigh that a little bit heavier because I'm tired of having a guy that in big time games, though, he just like breaks down and can't make it right. Or let's say we're like the Derek Carr.
We'd make it to the playoffs, but we ain't gonna win again.
speaker-2 (26:51.982)
You only met her once, but yeah, I got what you're saying.
speaker-0 (26:53.634)
But we ain't gonna win the game.
speaker-2 (26:55.95)
He has the most comeback victories in our organization
speaker-2 (27:04.398)
So he does have it in him, but it's like how you're saying in the big moments and all this, obviously he was only there once. yeah.
speaker-0 (27:11.874)
So it's very difficult for me to sit here and say, hey, I want a guy to be evaluated in the regular season and say, I'm going to weigh that more heavy because this league isn't built off evaluating teams and players in the regular season. It's built off championships. It's built off what you do. You raise a Lombardi, then you're going to have that. So at the end of the day, I think that's important, man. And then you have to look at that and I weigh that heavier, but yeah.
speaker-1 (27:30.702)
She's with you.
speaker-2 (27:39.542)
It is, but it's not one person why these teams won a champion. Even the great 15 out of Kansas city, the years he won, it wasn't just because of him.
speaker-0 (27:43.246)
100%.
speaker-0 (27:51.714)
No, I agree with you 100%. It takes a team. And that's why you have to evaluate that you're right. You have to look at everything. You know what? Here's a different take right? And I love that we were bringing different takes. We said, hey, we're going to bring a different view. This is what Jeff wants to hear. This is what comes out.
speaker-1 (28:12.046)
sports.
speaker-0 (28:13.358)
you think Todd Simpson or Fernando Mendoza is the best quarterback prospect in his draft is subjective. But what Dan just pointed out tells me, can't miss quarterback prospect in this draft. And if that's the case, then the Las Vegas Raiders need to hold an auction for the number one overall pick. If you got a quarterback prospect, whether it's Mendoza or Todd Simpson, number one on your board, and it's debatable on whether or not you can mess this kid up,
speaker-1 (28:23.383)
Ahem.
speaker-0 (28:43.31)
And you should probably consider trading down if there's a team that's willing to give you a King's ransom to move up to number one, to take either one of them, whether that ends up being the New York Jets or the Arizona Cardinals or the Cleveland Browns. These franchises that have multiple first round picks, these franchises that are listless when it comes to being able to find a franchise guy, you should be auctioning that pick off.
because if you're the Raiders, understand that this is a multi-year rebuild that you are about to undergo with your new head coach, Clint Kubiak. And the best thing that you can do is stockpile picks so you can acquire top tier talent. And what the NFL has told us with the volume of trades that we've seen in the first month of the new year is that they don't feel great about this year's draft. We've had eight, excuse me, 19 trades.
since this off season. 19 trades, which is three more than any other off season before the draft. And we still have a month to go before teams are on the clock. We're having that level of veteran player movement because teams are trying to aggressively fulfill needs by throwing money at the problem and draft picks at the problem in order to get players that they can rely on in 2026, because they're not sure about what's coming out of the collegiate ranks. So if you're
speaker-1 (29:47.535)
So you
speaker-0 (30:05.334)
If you're putting all of these things together, it's pointing to the Las Vegas Raiders needing to make the decision to trade down and trade out of that number one overall.
Alright guys, you hear him talking about trading out of that number one overall pick. My question is this for you guys here. That's Chris McCann.
speaker-1 (30:24.942)
Who was that talking?
Okay.
speaker-0 (30:29.634)
It says with no clear number one quarterback, let me ask you guys this. Why would a team want to trade with the Raiders?
speaker-2 (30:37.048)
There is a clear number one quarterback. It depends on your perspective. Mendoza is the clear number one quarterback.
speaker-0 (30:43.414)
Okay, so.
speaker-1 (30:44.558)
The Clare number one quarterback, not the Clare number one pick overall.
speaker-2 (30:48.01)
That's not the question he asked.
speaker-0 (30:50.926)
Let me rephrase it with no clear number one pick. Why would a team want to trade back with the or trade with the Raiders and who is your highest rated player on your on your board that you think that a team would actually trade the number one pick or to acquire the number one pick?
speaker-2 (31:13.774)
It all depends on the teams and how they evaluate it. Like you look at who's behind us, right? Who needs a quarterback right now? You look at Arizona, Arizona just moved on from Kyler, right? Who's going to, they got a new coach, new system. So they're in the same situation we are as far as they're going to start to have to build the foundation. Do they want to start with the quarterback or do they want to start somewhere else? Right. With the interior, like me and Jeff wants start with the inside, then work your way out. Right.
It all just depends and I think it as far as talent wise We always put the quarterback number one because it's the most important position quote-unquote in the NFL So that's why they're the ones I was going first you look at that year where it was Caleb Jaden and what's his name Drake way, right and then out of nowhere JG McCarthy Right Michael Pinnix jr. Bonix those three had no business
being picked on the first round. But why were they picked on the first
speaker-1 (32:15.938)
round. It's just that teams were so desperate for quarterback.
speaker-2 (32:18.956)
Yeah, I don't think that that hasn't been a lesson learned though coming into this draft. Look at what Minnesota just did They went and they went to go grab Kyle Murray. They just signed Carson Wentz They drafted JJ McCarthy in the top ten dog
speaker-1 (32:37.486)
Yeah, that just tells me that JJ McCarthy is not the guy they thought he was going to be for them. Yeah.
speaker-2 (32:42.798)
On the team and how much they like this guy that they're willing to make that move. So it's not so much of him Being that dude, it's it's Kubiak see him as that's my guy and I don't see any other player better than him That's why he's going number one or anyone else behind us because you could ask me like who I think the best player is or Even that year when we took Brock at 13 Brock to me was probably number two or three player and that entire draft talent
Position yeah, yeah
speaker-0 (33:18.158)
But that's why I'm asking you Cheeto in your opinion. What player is there that you're like, man, if I could grab this player in the draft, that number one guy, like they're saying the love guy, the kid from Notre Dame, the running back.
speaker-2 (33:34.072)
See if I wasn't right if I wasn't on the Raiders, about the Raiders? Yeah, Jimmy Jeremiah love is the most talented player in this fucking draft
speaker-0 (33:40.864)
And that's what I mean.
speaker-1 (33:41.934)
It's him and Caleb to be honest with you. Yeah, oh yeah.
speaker-2 (33:43.854)
Running back to how our running backs valued in the league right? they're only gonna be here three four years. Then you move on or
speaker-1 (33:51.618)
It's time to come back a little bit, it's still not like it used to be. You're right.
speaker-2 (33:56.57)
Caleb Dowd Jeremiah love our about Reese, right? The other linebacker the one that went lights out at the combine what's his name? Right now it's a ghost funny styles. Yeah the tight end out of fucking Oregon that kid is I Am scared of that motherfucker going to Kansas City
speaker-1 (34:07.427)
sorry, I'm sorry.
speaker-1 (34:13.701)
my
speaker-1 (34:22.476)
Yeah. Yep.
speaker-2 (34:22.702)
Right Yeah, it's crazy bro, but but the one thing I will tell you about I think we mentioned it earlier About remember I was telling you guys about Brady Logan Paul on the WWE Don't forget that ESPN is part of that as well now
speaker-0 (34:36.364)
Yeah.
speaker-2 (34:43.416)
So a lot of it is a little why do think they were what's his names were on a macafé show? So I'm getting a little iffy before I start taking shit out of ESPN as gospel nowadays. I mean, but I mean, like, yeah, to me, it's not what it used to be. Yeah. Yeah.
speaker-1 (34:57.769)
I haven't listened to ESPN.
speaker-0 (35:05.936)
Jeff, who's that one player that you think the team will move up for? Make that trade. Do you think it's Jeremiah Love? Do think there's a guy like that? Or do you think there's gonna be another team that's gonna move that, make that move for Mendoza?
speaker-1 (35:19.406)
I think it's one of two teams, possibly a third one in there that would move up for Mendoza. And it's the number two pick, the number three pick, and the number six pick. And that is the Jets, the Cardinals, and think Cleveland would still do it too. Cleveland's not done trying to find a quarterback. Yes, they do.
speaker-2 (35:40.654)
So you have a lot of pics right?
Sneaky teens if you see who they drafted recently and then what they have in the draft like road
speaker-1 (35:51.886)
Yeah.
I mean, Cleveland Cleveland has the sixth, the 24, the 39. And then, you know, you could probably fleece them for a first round the next year. All right. Arizona's got the third, the 34th and the 65th. And you know, you could probably pull a first round the next year out of them. The 16th, the 33rd. So they've got three picks in the top 33 of this draft.
And you could probably still pull a first rounder from the next year too. So you're talking, you're talking the possible whole of three first round draft picks coming from two for this year and one from next year.
speaker-2 (36:38.158)
I'm sorry. He said I get my gospel from the tamale lady.
speaker-1 (36:41.774)
My whole thing is when I look at the number one pick, we were given his golden ticket basically having that number one pick because that number one pick is more valuable than just taking the number one guy overall. It's valuable because of what you can do with that and turn that into even more money. Basically, I'm just equating it as money or more equity in the draft and really fill this roster with some talented guys that are gonna come in and stop playing pretty much right away.
Mendoza is not a guarantee that he's going to start right away. You have to hope that he works out in practice and the preseason. That's what I think you've got. You've got a better opportunity to really add to this roster, gain some extra first, gain an extra first round pick next year. I have leverage where you have leverage and you can move up a pick or two if you, if you don't finish in the top 10 to possibly get one of these quarterbacks next year.
speaker-2 (37:15.828)
That's anybody though.
speaker-2 (37:29.248)
No, no, I get that part
speaker-2 (37:40.27)
That part but I think that's the argument of oh, you don't know he's gonna develop you don't know how much time that's anyone pick anyone's I go to anyone we pick
speaker-1 (37:41.016)
Nice tension this year.
speaker-1 (37:49.71)
So you can't just say
speaker-1 (37:53.836)
Yeah, but I just think it's a tougher stretch for a quarterback. That's the thing.
speaker-2 (37:57.344)
Lineman D lineman can have a hard time to adjust the NFL speed Secondary these yeah same. Yeah, I think it's all risk not just Mendoza no matter who we pick. They're all risk with the Raiders shit. Remember that year picks in what two
speaker-1 (38:12.75)
I
speaker-2 (38:21.078)
he wouldn't wanna trade no more
speaker-2 (38:30.798)
We went about three weeks ago, right? Yeah.
speaker-0 (38:37.334)
Yeah, yeah
What if you trade the first pick this year and draft a quarterback next year and the QB decides to go back to school? Then what?
speaker-2 (38:49.964)
That's what I was telling you earlier. It's not the same college anymore. NIL has changed all that. You can't base it off that anymore. is the art strap.
speaker-1 (39:00.078)
the
speaker-2 (39:08.618)
Look how many chambliss maybe more can go to court and do everything that Chambliss did so he can stay in again remember Chambliss had got denied and then he got a
speaker-1 (39:18.286)
thought this was Maud's last chance. thought he was- No!
speaker-2 (39:20.76)
Well, they can still look at how many times they've been doing it. They don't have set guidelines for it. It's still they keep appealing, appealing, appealing. Yeah, Diego tried to do it again. This would have been like Diego's like eight year and shit.
speaker-1 (39:33.326)
Yeah, but see, here's the argument. I see now saying, you know, 15 starts in college, Ty Simpson was one nothing, not near enough experience. Ty Simpson was that offense. He had nothing. He's the one that was out there slinging that ball and everything. Like Mendoza didn't throw the ball for, what was the stat he put up the other day? Like no more than 20 passes in a game the entire season. I think he did it maybe once. He threw for more than 20 or twice.
speaker-2 (40:01.634)
What was that? Since you guys yesterday.
speaker-1 (40:04.75)
I forget, that's what I'm referring to.
speaker-2 (40:07.374)
Drafted in the first round with less than 300 yards thrown. Yeah, right and he was on there. Yeah Yeah But then again that goes back to why are you drafting him? I don't think they're looking at him They're not drafting him thinking he's the gunslinger like Joe burrow They're drafting him for his an untangibles that he's a leader that he's a winner that he's gonna be able to pick up Kubiak system You know what I mean?
speaker-0 (40:16.695)
Absolutely.
speaker-2 (40:34.466)
He's not being drafted because he's this gunslinging fucking quarterback that just went out there and put up insane numbers.
speaker-1 (40:41.646)
Here's another funny stat for you. So nap man keeps pushing this 15 thing, right? How many games did Richardson start and rate of fans were screaming? Screaming for us to get him when he came up 13 get 13 starts and people rolling Get him and where is he now? He's a glorified man right now and they're looking to unload him. So
speaker-2 (40:59.566)
We gotta get him. We gotta get
speaker-2 (41:07.372)
He was the Combine Warrior quarterback. Who was the other one? Jaylen Miller?
speaker-1 (41:10.03)
and
speaker-2 (41:18.267)
Who was the other one? Milro? Richardson? you Barrone? No, Milro. Jalen Milro.
speaker-1 (41:25.705)
because I said borrow, I'm like what?
speaker-2 (41:27.576)
Yeah
speaker-0 (41:30.222)
All right, guys, here's the thing. says, trading back would only make sense if we had extra picks from the max trade.
speaker-2 (41:37.582)
No, see and I think that's what people did when they listen to that guy when they're like, who's that guy? Chris when he was saying his little commentary about you trade for a haul That means you get multiple picks You're not just trading back to move back a couple spots and add one pick If you trade back you're doing what Jeff said if not more, bro, you're doing picks this year. You're doing picks 2027 shit, you're doing picks 2028 if you can
speaker-1 (41:38.114)
Well, the
speaker-2 (42:06.766)
Fleece the hell out of us, right? You asked for three number ones and if they counter with two then hey, we're at two You know you you asked for a haul you just don't do it just because I don't like this guy at once So I'm gonna trade back to get one or two extra picks for my value like no This is the number one pick you talking about value. Then you need to get the most out of it You're not just doing it just to do it. That's dumb If you're gonna trade back then you need to do it for a haul, bro
Multiple first rounders second rounders third rounders, right or even multiple picks and a player right some bullshit like that, right? What's the guy's name from the movie draft a Jeff and will putt them just cuz I fucking set so or what's You know what I'm talking about
speaker-1 (42:48.77)
you.
yeah yeah yeah
speaker-2 (42:56.862)
Yeah, they end up trading and then they throw it like a special teams player just cuz I fucking would set so yeah
speaker-2 (43:06.402)
That's what you do if you're gonna treat You don't do it just to trade I think that's people get it twisted like if I say trade back or if Jeff says trade back It's not just to not get the guy but it's to get multiple picks for it and values
speaker-1 (43:09.037)
Yeah.
speaker-1 (43:21.806)
Here's the funny thing. What if somebody like Arizona wants to move up and they don't take Mendoza and we still get those draft picks because they want to somebody.
the
speaker-2 (43:56.771)
Yeah.
much yet.
speaker-1 (44:02.474)
But I just love it when people say, you know, we take Mendoza because some people think there's no what this this other quarterback. You don't have to take the first one just because he's there and because he's supposedly that guy.
speaker-2 (44:16.942)
See, like 805 trading back only makes sense when the prospect isn't worth the number one overall pick. And here we sit. What a balance. And you know what? That makes the most sense. Well, if you think about it, the Caleb, Jayden, Drake, May drive. There were reports they were offered three multiple first round picks, right? But those three teams did not budge. Why? Because in their mind, those prospects made sense to take. You do not move off of prospects like that. Right.
speaker-1 (44:46.542)
Yeah, I would if I had the number if we had the number one I'm And no matter you could offer me the world for Jayden Daniels for that number one pick and I wouldn't I wouldn't know Down hands down. would have taken him. The only downside is the coach the time would have fucking ruined them
speaker-2 (44:57.377)
right?
speaker-2 (45:05.652)
And it's crazy because I heard someone say that if the coach at the time would have had control over him He would have gave up too much just to get down there He would have gave up more than did good did for for Ricky Williams problem
Because he wanted him that bad. Yeah, because you can't be that way either, right? You can't just put all your shit out like I want this guy and I don't care what I give up for him. And then you trade away your future.
speaker-0 (45:30.432)
Is Jaden Daniels really worth seven picks?
speaker-2 (45:36.343)
To me I don't I don't think It's hard for me to say any QB is worth that many picks if you're not already winning, right? That's your future, bro
speaker-1 (45:44.782)
I don't think any play is worth it.
speaker-0 (45:48.399)
Yeah, that was the Ricky Williams trade if you guys remember.
speaker-2 (45:52.928)
And that wasn't worth it. And I thought Ricky Williams was fucking amazing. But when I saw the dick of that mother's dude's insane.
treating your entire draft class, bro.
speaker-0 (46:06.594)
that every writer said, what did he say? Caleb Williams is.
speaker-2 (46:11.98)
Worth it. Yeah, I figured he would say that he's USC and I love Caleb coming out of college Do not get me wrong. We won against that motherfucker multiple times and even the year Notre Dame beat him I still knew that dude was a fucking dog
speaker-0 (46:27.32)
But yeah, I also got Mel Kuyper's take on this. I'm gonna give you guys Mel Kuyper.
speaker-2 (46:31.672)
Bill Kuyper Jr.
speaker-0 (46:34.006)
And then Trent Delfour y'all so hold on.
speaker-2 (46:36.77)
Shred, Nel for
speaker-1 (46:39.316)
Mendoza's nearly four inches taller than Ty Simpson 25 pounds heavier.
35 starts compared to 15, which is a risky, dangerous number for Ty. And you think about 72 % complete percentage to 64, right? Seven rushing touchdowns to two. And the fact that he had five fumbles over seven game period, Ty Simpson, five fumbles lost, six total for the year. Ty Simpson, only one year as a starter. Fernando Mendoza started a cow, right? He was at 69 % in 2024, but he was sacked a lot. He cut that sack total down dramatically by going back and playing another year in college and moving on to Indiana.
safer tie. didn't have the offensive line that Mendoza had. No he did not. Catching a ball on a regular basis. No he did not. Running backs as well to balance things out. did So Mendoza had some advantages there but overall all the check marks that you go across the board go to Mendoza over Simpson.
speaker-2 (47:31.436)
See, shout out to Mel for keeping it Pointing out the differences between the two teams they were on.
speaker-0 (47:38.591)
And that's what I like about Mel Kiper's take right? He showed a you know, this is what happened now Trent Dilfer.
speaker-2 (47:46.638)
So we all think Mel Kiper knows what he's talking about now, no, but we think he's a dummy
speaker-0 (47:53.742)
I don't think he's a dummy either.
speaker-2 (47:55.434)
Okay, because there were some people
speaker-0 (47:58.967)
I'm not a dude
50-50 this is an evaluation of the chapter and stuff.
speaker-2 (48:07.702)
Alright, go ahead. It's funny that Shindufu's next, cause that was-
speaker-0 (48:11.15)
There's difference of opinion. think back to 2024 and it's Caleb Williams, Jaden Daniels and Drake May. You know, you go back to 2023. It's Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, know, guys like that in that draft. You go back to 2021 and listen, Trevor Lawrence, who I thought was an incredible prospect, clear number one that year. You know, you had people talking about Zach Wilson, Trey Lance even, Will Levis, you know, was talked about as a first rounder in that draft. And so I think that, you know, it's not unusual
to have, you know, kind of beauty in the eye of the beholder when you start talking about.
quarterbacks and I think there's an element of when you look at Alabama's offense, it's easier to find correlation to what people do on Sundays. You see him playing under center, you see him turning his back to the defense, you see more, you know, move the pocket stuff that is common in the National Football League. And so I think, you know, between that and then plays like this where you go, wait a minute, like there's also athleticism here in a guy that, you know, we maybe don't love all the measurables in terms
of, yeah, he is about 6'1". He's only about 211 pounds. He doesn't have, you know, the Josh Allen arm strength that you typically would love to see in a quarterback that goes in the first round. But, you know, it's not just a guy playing in the confines of an offense. It's a guy that was able to create. So I understand that people like him. But to me, I fall much more in line with what Mel is saying in terms of, you know, the type of prospect he is. I think he's checking way more box.
He's bigger, the sample size is better, how developed he is as a passer, the production in college and how he projects is better. So I looked at it that way and it seems like in nearly every single area, Mendoza appears to be the better prospect.
speaker-1 (50:02.83)
But no long train shots.
speaker-0 (50:06.87)
Yo, that's trendo first take right? Guys. Hasselback. Right. So let me ask you guys this. Everything's been me being made out of Hey, this guy came out of this office. This guy came out of a pro style office.
speaker-2 (50:10.414)
Not do for
speaker-1 (50:24.576)
The summer since 1952.
speaker-0 (50:26.818)
Why is that being influenced or so ever emphasized, right? Why is that becoming so large right now? Is it because people just don't have nothing to talk about?
speaker-2 (50:37.962)
It's always a thing though. It's always a thing with players coming out on the systems they play. It's always a
speaker-0 (50:43.966)
Like we know that a bunch of quarterbacks have been coming out from RPO systems. For awhile now, it's not unread or it's not rare that guys that run RPO in college come to the pros. And they come from underneath center. They make those adjustments. I mean, I'd like what if you look at it, look at Jackson Dart last year.
speaker-1 (50:57.976)
We'll got you too.
speaker-1 (51:03.256)
Thank
speaker-1 (51:07.96)
you
speaker-2 (51:08.524)
Careful now Nathan's in the chat. I come after you
speaker-1 (51:11.15)
the
speaker-2 (51:15.438)
This is Bax's fucking husband right there, man.
speaker-0 (51:18.486)
Like comes out a lot of the shotgun they came out of
speaker-1 (51:21.954)
Yeah.
speaker-2 (51:23.559)
That's that's college ball. That's called all now
speaker-0 (51:26.846)
I know are people going like, Fernando Mendoza just runs on. No, he does is work through.
speaker-1 (51:32.206)
Look at that.
speaker-2 (51:32.738)
That's not RPO. Look at that. Ooh, Nathan told you. Told you.
speaker-0 (51:39.47)
But it's still coming out of shotgun it's still not coming out from a look, bro
speaker-2 (51:44.686)
You have to argue the quarterback because if not, then what do we do offseason? See here on which April Yes Right. We did it last year with the running backs which running back is better Gentie Hampton, right all the fucking running backs that were coming out which was
speaker-2 (52:05.676)
Brian
speaker-2 (52:14.158)
It's gonna be a conversation because you have to see what's asked of them and can they be able to do it on the next level? Right like Kim Fin says exactly exactly right yeah, Mm-hmm. That's why you look at where people come from the newest thing and I I love everyone knows I love Notre Dame, but I will say this and I've heard it from other people say is
The reason they like players coming out of Notre Dame is the culture that Freeman is creating there to what Kubiak was saying These kids aren't jumping around in the transfer portal going to school to school to school, right? They're trying to stay there to develop in something so they're going into the gig character football type minds or whatever the hell so when you look at these other programs like what kind of a player am I get I Have to look at what's he gonna do? And then of course Caleb is an anomaly bro there
speaker-1 (53:05.848)
Yeah.
speaker-2 (53:09.974)
Not everyone is gonna play like Caleb. Shut up, Nate.
speaker-1 (53:16.894)
the
speaker-0 (53:19.331)
Wow.
speaker-2 (53:21.326)
The culture that owns USC right now.
speaker-0 (53:25.71)
told you.
speaker-2 (53:27.886)
The course they're compare them, but you're going to I wouldn't you I would hope that spy tech and all them are doing the same Because you know what happens when you don't compare and you don't evaluate you end up drafting your Marcus Russell Without saying we didn't know all that
speaker-1 (53:29.815)
Hey.
speaker-2 (53:51.054)
When they would have did their digging, they would have known that this dude does not do the work it takes to excel in the likes of us. That's why you have to compare. That's why you have to dig into all these other bullshit things like that and not just be consensus. Yeah.
speaker-1 (54:09.408)
What is, the Thai Simpson already have his pro day.
speaker-2 (54:14.508)
I believe Alabama has it. Did they have it or is it this week?
speaker-1 (54:20.142)
Thank
speaker-2 (54:22.338)
Take care.
speaker-1 (54:24.834)
Well, you know, and I see people in the chat saying like, you know, it's ESPN and, know, so, and so, and so, and so creating this and everything. I did. And that's what we're going to result this that, you know, all of a sudden now there's a, you know, there's another quarterback being talked about because, you know, you know, these channels want to bring this up. I don't think you're going to remember it. So you've got his pro day. Mendoza is coming on April 1st. You got Alabama's coming up soon.
So they're legitimate one and two quarterbacks in this this coming draft. So they're just adding to the hype because listen, there's got to be some competition that there's nothing else out there right now for these two quarterbacks. You know, one didn't even partake in the the combine. Right. You know, so one did absolutely nothing other than talk to people. You know, so I mean,
It's coming down to the pro days and where they're gonna finally be ranked in all this Mendoza will still probably come out number one overall I'm sure he will. yeah. Yeah I mean just to keep saying that that you know, the whole Ty Simpson thing is coming out just because they want to make headlines It's not just that it's just that there's legit situations where you can there's a difference between these two players The way it's simple, you know one does one thing better than the other one had a better support system than the other tell me I'm wrong on that because you
speaker-2 (55:49.438)
You know, one of them is betting so much on himself that he went into the draft this season when he could have stayed in college and gotten better.
speaker-0 (56:00.878)
I'm Tara Simpson.
speaker-2 (56:01.934)
That's Ty Simpson. He could have decided his name This is my time to cash in I'm
speaker-1 (56:04.942)
All right
speaker-1 (56:10.146)
next year he wouldn't be number one. There's no way he's number one now.
speaker-2 (56:13.16)
And with that said, also, if I wait till next year, I'm already being overshadowed by this dude. There's less quarterbacks this draft. If I come out this trap, the likelihood of me going in the first round is higher than if I was to come out next year with this quote unquote next draft class. And I say it like that because you don't know. People can blow ACLs. They can tour MCOs. They can decide to stay again. We're going to run it one more time. Right. Dante Mori. We're going to run it again.
like you just don't know nowadays
speaker-2 (56:51.502)
Here's to Matthews!
speaker-1 (56:54.65)
the you let your franchise running back out there and playing this goddamn game Tom Brady and all the retired plays you want to go play go for it have fun you know
speaker-2 (57:06.419)
Shout out to TV USA dog for fucking reminding these NFL players that flag football
speaker-1 (57:12.344)
the
speaker-2 (57:17.263)
My owner Brady look good out there. I'm just saying dog like you look good out there. I'm just saying
speaker-1 (57:23.938)
the
speaker-2 (57:34.958)
How did that happen Jeff? How did Indiana end up with a line like that or a defense like?
speaker-1 (57:41.242)
Because of the portal and I L the whole nine. Yeah, is that what you're getting that? Yeah, I mean circumnavigate the portal and to build he built the team is what he did he brought in their
Not today.
speaker-0 (57:55.438)
How did that? Well, let me ask you guys this that you know, this guy did a great job building on a team. He comes in there and a great job being the quarterback for that great team, right? He wins the national championship because that's what you gotta do. Then why is that being held against? Why is it because, you know,
speaker-2 (58:12.962)
being held against them but I'm all I see is don't hold it against them but that hold that as the only reason to draft them
speaker-0 (58:20.878)
Correct.
speaker-2 (58:21.504)
If I ask you, why do you want Mendoza? And your only reason is because they want to defeat anyone than Natty. And he's a heist and I'm going to tell you to come at me better.
speaker-1 (58:37.998)
the
speaker-2 (58:52.774)
Against him. It's just that when somebody used that as the only reason why you should That's the counter to it. There have been many other players who have won the Heisman in the night right
speaker-0 (59:05.858)
Yeah. So let me ask you as this, right? We've talked Fernando Mendoza, we've talked.
speaker-2 (59:14.309)
Super chat dog
speaker-0 (59:15.98)
Super chat.
speaker-2 (59:18.446)
you make a noise for it for the sound of it
speaker-0 (59:21.582)
You ready? Put it on. Hold on.
speaker-2 (59:28.578)
We got you, got you. Chewie's Raider coverage. Shout out for the 199. I'll be happy with whoever we get as long as we went. Exactly, dog. Exactly. Well said, Chewie. Well said, Chewie.
speaker-1 (59:47.502)
Thank you too, we appreciate you brother.
speaker-2 (59:49.975)
my god, he said Mendoza let's Jesus c-
speaker-0 (59:57.518)
Thank
speaker-0 (01:00:01.492)
I sim some right. We've talked Mendoza tie Simpson guys. I want your guys's draft strategy for the offensive needs that we have. I know that we've talked draft that you can move back, but address the issues that you guys want to address. What's your draft strategy? What do you guys think they're going to implement? What do you guys see them moving guys that they want to select?
speaker-2 (01:00:21.58)
See, this is this is why I hate mock drafts, because it's easy to go on there and then I'm going to do this and I'm going to do that. But you can't say they're going to do or they should do this until you see what's left on that.
speaker-0 (01:00:34.893)
red.
speaker-2 (01:00:36.47)
Obviously number one is gonna be Mendoza so we don't go again till 36, right? But if you're watching and we're watching the draft and you start to see maybe a certain receiver or a D tackle falling and you're within reach of him, right? I Wouldn't be mad if the team moved up to go get him right? Depending on what they gave up or even if they get to 36 and there's three or four players that we possibly could get That point you're like shit
I wouldn't be mad if you guys trade back a couple spots and add some more picks as long as we land one of those four. So to me, that's why I always like the best available. Yes. But then we also, what positions are we still needing to develop? Cause remember, yeah, we had a great free agency off season, whatever, right? We've got linebackers, we got our center, but we still have to build the team.
You can't sit here and tell me that this defense is done being built. This offensive line is done being built. No, right? No, they're not. So that's why to me, you got to see who's there when you get there. If one of the offensive linemen, me and Jeff have been talking about, right, is there ends up falling. Bucky, take him. If he's there at that spot of 36, right, we because we still need more often.
I'm not gonna be mad at taking a defensive tackle an offensive lineman I will be mad if they take that fucking kicker though who kick 70 yards and ran four or five I Will be mad if we fucking draft that fool in the first two days, right? Yeah
speaker-1 (01:02:09.1)
Hahaha
speaker-0 (01:02:16.27)
Hey, I'll tell you like this. When I saw that kicker run a four or five, I immediately was like, Raider nation is going to clamor for him. And they said, Oh, he kicked a 70 yarder.
speaker-2 (01:02:27.054)
Told you that's why I sent you guys the video!
speaker-1 (01:02:29.71)
And this
speaker-0 (01:02:30.542)
pressure, being able to like be comfortable out there and yes, he stroked it. Congratulations.
speaker-1 (01:02:34.39)
Nope.
speaker-2 (01:02:41.71)
Pause.
speaker-0 (01:02:43.246)
But there's a reason why you're not he wasn't highly recruit or looked at bro
speaker-2 (01:02:48.686)
Look at the colleges coming from. How many people watch that college?
speaker-0 (01:02:54.016)
HEADSHOT
speaker-2 (01:02:56.04)
What network is that college play on?
speaker-1 (01:02:59.254)
the
speaker-2 (01:03:05.486)
And that's why you got to thank players like Mendoza and then that way to do their pro day Because when you do have a player like him or teams come It gives the opportunity for players who aren't gonna be seen or normally be seen to get a shot to get look
Does nobody know who that kicker was?
speaker-1 (01:03:26.222)
I know how Nat man said that there's no Indiana offensive lineman. The only one that I see in the draft is, Kugin the center. Are the other ones even seniors or are they obviously they didn't declare for the draft. cause they're one. Yeah. So they're still there. So that's why there's no Indiana offensive line in the draft other than Kugin. my take on, on.
speaker-2 (01:03:43.596)
The Claire was coogin'
speaker-1 (01:03:53.932)
the draft strategy. Yeah. Mendoza going number one with the 36th. at that point we either go, I personally want to take a nose tackle. I want the best nose tackle available at 30.
speaker-2 (01:04:07.95)
What is that?
speaker-1 (01:04:10.971)
It's a position that hasn't been around for a long time in the NFL. It's new.
speaker-2 (01:04:16.462)
Really? Please explain.
speaker-1 (01:04:18.296)
Ha ha!
I, I, I want the top nose tackle for sure. I want that bona fide zero technique guy that's played that position. I don't want to just be fluffing through with, you project. I mean, if a receiver that we really, really like is there at 36 and we take them, I'm not going to be upset. You know, we've already got the quarterback.
speaker-2 (01:04:38.456)
feel you, bro.
speaker-1 (01:04:47.822)
You know, we at some point do still need to add another. We definitely got to pull a left tackle out of this draft. think we got to get one. We got to get one that we can groom behind Colton Miller. And I know Grant was supposed to be that guy, but it looks like there's a good chance that grants probably going to be on the right side more than anything, I think.
speaker-2 (01:05:07.291)
Yeah, and then the right guard still on the shoe. It's not been settled down, right?
speaker-1 (01:05:11.726)
Well, I mean, again, you've got four guys in this offensive line that are going to, I think, compete for the right side. That's if they move JPJ to the left. Either way, you're going to have you're going to Caleb Rogers. You're to have Blaze. You're going to have Grant. And you're going to have this other guy who just picked up the hell's his name. Whatever that that offensive lineman, we just got a team member is God damn.
So you're have those four guys fighting it out, know, two on the tactical side, two on the guard side. You know, the only locks right now are getting the Miller, JPJ and Linderbom. That's a three guaranteed that are gonna be starting right now. I'm not, you know, cool Kevin. I'm not, I'm not giving up on glaze just yet. I'm counting a lot of that on last year's issue. Buford, that's it. Thanks.
speaker-2 (01:06:05.838)
I'm not counting on that fool that was just here hold your breath on him
speaker-1 (01:06:08.93)
the the
speaker-2 (01:06:28.877)
Yeah.
speaker-0 (01:06:31.348)
I'll be honest with you guys, right? Everybody knows we're going quarterback number one. If we draft anybody, we're going quarterback. I already know that, right? So what I'm thinking is in the third round, because I'm with you, Jeff, I think we go defense in the second round. In that third round, bro, I think we addressed the wide receiver position.
speaker-1 (01:06:38.229)
watching
speaker-0 (01:06:54.542)
Keto.
speaker-2 (01:06:55.117)
I
speaker-0 (01:06:57.068)
It doesn't feel.
Yeah, yo, I see us addressing the wide receiver position there. And I really see that as being our next need. I know that we keep talking offensive line and that we can we keep looking at saying, hey, we need to solidify that right side of the line. But I really do think we need to get Fernando Mendoza that number one option.
speaker-2 (01:07:21.774)
But don't you have to have so have to protect them in order to get the ball? Isn't his number one option Brock Bowers
speaker-0 (01:07:26.265)
I agree with you.
speaker-0 (01:07:31.608)
Brock powers as as is correct.
speaker-2 (01:07:33.302)
It's a running team first. Which is why we're drafting Mendoza a coordinator.
speaker-1 (01:07:39.918)
the
speaker-2 (01:07:42.572)
I'm not saying we don't. I'm not saying we don't, but.
speaker-0 (01:07:45.006)
I'd like, you still need a guy to bring out the box. can't just be like, Hey, we're going to be to put a bunch of linemen out there. There's no threat outside. All they're going to do is load up the box. Say run the ball. Okay. We're going to jam eight, jam nine, because there's no threat on the outside to stretch the defense to say, Hey man, there's a threat on the outside. So we need to find that threat on the outside. That number one guy. hold on. Here we go.
805 says Jesus, Tyson Simpson is the best quarterback in the most pro ready. I know people like like the shiny object. This doesn't lie.
speaker-2 (01:08:26.52)
So there's some fools in the chat calling or velocity and idiot and stupid. Why aren't y'all telling 805 the same when he's saying that type sense is the best quarterback in this draft.
Are y'all afraid of 805 and what it's gonna reply to you?
cuz there were some people earlier that were saying Orvlaski's stupid he's washed nobody believes the ESPN 805's been saying this shit before Orvlaski came out
speaker-1 (01:08:58.35)
No!
speaker-2 (01:09:00.887)
So as he was saying it, I was, wonder if this Fusa 805 channel, some of it sounded just like what 805 has been saying, right? Yeah. Like all of a sudden, right?
I love you, Paul. I love you. That's my dog. I love you, Bob. I love you, Bob. That's my dog. That's my dog.
speaker-1 (01:09:17.037)
Bob.
speaker-2 (01:09:25.326)
That's because nobody wants those guns of 805. I don't want to those guns.
speaker-0 (01:09:32.541)
god.
speaker-2 (01:09:34.67)
No, I hear you on right receiver dog, and I think that's why it goes to what Jeff has been saying Because we have so many needs we need a wide receiver. We need a beefing up the inside defense Fucking offensive line. We need a shut down corner. We need a ball hocking safety Right, but there's no
speaker-1 (01:09:46.228)
Need a corner too!
speaker-2 (01:10:11.06)
And what happened to the next Calvin Johnson and Megatron on our team? Did we give up on him already?
speaker-2 (01:10:19.468)
Was it Gino's fault that he can't run routes?
speaker-0 (01:10:23.768)
So I'm literally like this, right? This is where it's so difficult because people are saying, Aiden, in the third round, what do you do?
Hey,
Is he going to step up?
speaker-2 (01:10:39.118)
And that's why when you ask me that's why I say you take best available based on the value if we're at 36 And there's a wide receiver that fell say like Boston that had no business falling to us in the second round Then you take that motherfucker at 36 because he is one of the needs we have right if there's a D tackle that's more valuable on the More of a higher prospect than the wide receivers that are left Boston's gone, right?
speaker-1 (01:11:02.382)
What's up, Jason?
speaker-2 (01:11:07.982)
Boston's gone. Maybe Jacobi land and Malachi fields are the ones left and Jacob Rodriguez is still out there But then you have this D tackle that's rated higher. Well, then you go get the defensive tackle That's why I said if the plans on the best available player that's there at the board when it's our turn to pick Because it's easy to say go get the best receiver at 36 go get the best receiver at 60 something but if you're looking at that board and you have a dude of value that fell to you the way we did for a
The way that Brock fell to us, didn't you fucking jump?
speaker-1 (01:11:41.472)
Yeah
speaker-2 (01:11:43.342)
Nah, he could just meet me at the tavern. He knows which one I can't blow up the spot and tell people where
speaker-1 (01:11:49.142)
the
speaker-2 (01:11:59.0)
Sweishing her last year when he fell to the second round, dude Sweishing her fell to the second round last year. Will Johnson fell to the second round last year
you just don't know bro. You just don't know That's why I say it's hard to zero in on a position this round position that wrong again What you're saying though, we need a wide region. Yeah, you don't know what's gonna be there
speaker-1 (01:12:19.564)
what's gonna be
speaker-0 (01:12:22.176)
For me, the reason I say like
speaker-2 (01:12:23.886)
That's nerds like me and Jeff love to watch the draft.
speaker-0 (01:12:30.126)
Yeah, right. Here's the thing. If you got like, let's say that nose guard, right, because we're going to go BPA and there's going to be like a nose guard in a corner that you see are very likes. Simpler like neck and neck. I say, right. Where are going to lean to? Like, let's say if it's in the second round, we've, we've picked up a, we got a quarterback, right? Let's say we pick up a nose tap, a wide receiver.
and quarterback
speaker-2 (01:13:00.194)
What wide receiver? That's the thing. Last year when we did, when we traded back, I was cool with it. And then I saw the wide receiver they picked and I lost my fucking mind.
speaker-2 (01:13:11.98)
Why are we taking josh bench in the second fucking round? Ask 805. He said the same thing. He looked dead at me and he said I hope this is not just a feel-good story
speaker-2 (01:13:24.811)
Right?
speaker-0 (01:13:25.622)
And let me ask you guys this is there anybody on the roster? Do you guys see feel like that there's going to be a step up from anybody on the roster as a wide receiver to fill up any rules? I'd be like we we always talk about a you know, we got a lot of potential on this team. We always draft potential right? Thornton was potential 64 and freaking runs like the wind can't catch a fucking cold.
speaker-2 (01:13:52.598)
Ace tall and fast, right? Go deep.
speaker-1 (01:13:56.142)
the
speaker-2 (01:13:57.07)
WING IT
speaker-2 (01:14:04.75)
All right.
speaker-0 (01:14:05.71)
So that's where I go like is there any player on this roster currently that can step up and fill any role like that You know that you can see saying hey, you know what he's gonna flourish in the court
speaker-2 (01:14:16.362)
I the line man... the whole line
speaker-0 (01:14:20.502)
I agree with that. That's actually 100 % factual, think. I mean, like, with them working with Rick Denison and just bringing in a coach like that.
speaker-1 (01:14:22.126)
I agree with
speaker-2 (01:14:30.67)
Yeah, I think grants JPJ knowing what his position is, right?
Right, right. I think they're the ones who could step up and hopefully fill those fucking rolls, right? Yeah them what's his name is my favorite? Jonah I think Jonah's gonna fucking continue to continue to develop bro and become a lot better than Be to keep coming a lot better. I like what I saw with Jonah last year. Yeah, Adam Butler 805 dude, right? He still hasn't reached his peak right 805
speaker-1 (01:15:05.678)
You will.
speaker-2 (01:15:09.682)
Yeah, dudes like that bro the emergence of i'm praying malcolm year two off the injury, right? Year two off the injury. Hopefully malcolm gets back into form, right? No, see there's positive and then there's lala man And a lot of times the nation tends to live in lala land Where every year is our year and we have to start being real about it and address shit for what it is
speaker-0 (01:15:38.242)
No, you're absolutely right. And I'd be like, we got to keep it a spade. mean, I'll be like, we're saying, hey, we have issues to address, but we see in I mean, like right now, we just talked about what players do we see becoming more successful? Yeah.
speaker-1 (01:15:54.83)
I'm up into bigger
speaker-2 (01:15:57.07)
Michael mayor with the kubiak hopefully, you know using him correctly. That's another one
speaker-1 (01:16:06.222)
I think Genthy's gonna have a killer year too.
speaker-2 (01:16:09.25)
That's Jeff! Jeff doesn't like her. I think Jeff hates her more than I do, probably.
speaker-1 (01:16:12.814)
No, don't. I never said that last year. just didn't think the team was the offensive line was not ready for that kid's talent. And I was right because the offensive line couldn't even block for themselves, let alone for a freaking superstar running back coming out of college that we took at number six. You know, that was a rookie year for him last year. As far as I'm concerned, he didn't even come close to his full potential. We still don't even know what it is in the NFL. We see that this year.
speaker-2 (01:16:39.084)
Yeah, no, he definitely can.
speaker-1 (01:16:42.054)
Can be offensive line is going to be built and coached. Yeah. We're going to see Mendoza hand off that ball, like an elite quarterback, like number one, we ain't got receivers to throw the damn ball to them. You know, Brock Bowers and he's going to be handing that ball off left and right. I'm telling you, it's to be a run first offense, plain and simple.
speaker-2 (01:16:58.904)
Okay.
speaker-1 (01:17:09.102)
The other show was gonna be the gold one. Dozer was great this ship Yeah, because guess what? He had a supporting cast and a running back next room that can run the fucking ball and a tight end I can catch anything you throw within the vicinity of his his hands, right? Yeah, he's still not a superstar. He's not flinging it 40 yards. He's not winning games for you You know, he's winning your games your tight end and your running back. That's who's gonna be winning the games for you He's gonna be those two guys in your offensive line. It's not gonna be a quarterback. I'm sorry folks
not gonna happen. I just don't see it happening.
speaker-2 (01:17:40.94)
the offensive line and the running game.
speaker-0 (01:17:43.174)
And I agree with you, but you know what? I don't think that's a bad thing.
speaker-2 (01:17:53.07)
You're not you're not drafting pain man either bro, so relax But don't say that like like you're driving careful when you name drop
speaker-1 (01:18:03.47)
I'm gonna throw crown at him, but all of you again.
speaker-0 (01:18:05.678)
Look, bro, like he's not saying that he is Peyton Manning. I'm just saying other quarterbacks that have come out that have high names and that are they handed off the football? They all started like the big Joe Montana, freaking John Elway, all those guys handed off the football. I think the only one that did it was Dan Marino that came out there swinging the football straight out of like college.
speaker-2 (01:18:30.802)
How many Super Bowls did he get to? One. Come on, Will. How many did he get to?
speaker-0 (01:18:33.134)
Zero! Or no, how many did he win? I think he got one in his rookie year, right? was it a second
speaker-1 (01:18:42.062)
and
speaker-0 (01:18:48.418)
Hey, 805 is talking about a guy that's going to be a steal at 36 with the hurt foot, but talking about a hurt foot, Christian Wilkins, guys, has come back out saying that he's available to be picked up. He's ready to play, but he's still nursing back his injured foot. Two years later, or a year and a half later, whatever it is now.
I want to know your thoughts on this because I caught my attention and I said, man, I have to ask my guys on what is your guys to stop a Christian Wilkins and he's saying 20 and the agent is saying 26 teams have called and inquired about his services.
speaker-1 (01:19:32.856)
Good, they can have them as long as it's not us. I don't care what happens to them.
speaker-2 (01:19:37.283)
The NFL needs to release the Christian Wilkins files.
speaker-0 (01:19:42.254)
Do they need to go?
speaker-1 (01:19:45.87)
What happens to him? don't care where he goes. I don't know. I don't care who takes him. I could give two shits about him if it's not going to be it has nothing to do with us. We're not going to take him back. There's no way in hell we're bringing him back. Absolutely not.
speaker-0 (01:19:59.872)
Hey, Tito, don't worry, baby.
speaker-2 (01:20:01.678)
We'll say is the most Raiders shit to happen though. This would be the most Raiders shit. This is our luck. This is our luck Is that no, no, no, no, no, no, don't bring them back We end up having to pay like half the money. We lose half the money whatever right? Yeah, this motherfucker gets picked up by Sean McVean the Rams
speaker-1 (01:20:07.406)
Bye.
speaker-0 (01:20:19.02)
and then blows up and becomes
speaker-2 (01:20:20.322)
then just fucking goes in there and just plays and then we're sitting here like god
speaker-1 (01:20:29.144)
still won't phase me. could give two shits. Rams aren't even in our conference. The only time we'd have a tie up match up with them is in a one regular season game in the season or in the Super Bowl. So no bearing on us. Now, if you say he goes to the Chiefs, the Broncos or the Chargers, that's a different story. Yeah. You know, cause now you're talking twice a year. So I could care less what team he goes to.
speaker-0 (01:20:50.976)
Unless he goes to the chargers.
speaker-1 (01:20:57.131)
It's not
speaker-2 (01:20:57.87)
Hardball won't deal with that shit Now Andrew Reed has had some characters on his teams and it read his had characters
speaker-0 (01:21:03.854)
Yeah.
and they're willing to take that risk. But I'm with Cheeto, man. I want to see, like, what's going on there. What the fuck really happened? We need the...
speaker-0 (01:21:22.796)
To come up and blow that up and figure that out. But hey, like I said, it just caught my attention. Fellas guys, if you guys look at it right now, right? He had a great free agency. I've been lots of great names that were signed, lots of big players. I want to know.
speaker-2 (01:21:42.006)
lots. Three.
speaker-0 (01:21:45.71)
Well, three big players, yeah, we said, I'd be like, hey.
speaker-2 (01:21:48.812)
I'm just asking, I want to define what lots mean.
speaker-0 (01:21:51.276)
Great, three big players is big for the Raiders. When's the last time we've signed three big players? We have a right note for
speaker-1 (01:21:55.758)
Thank
speaker-2 (01:21:57.87)
Hey girl, how long you been single few weeks? How many is a few two fuck? You know, I try to clarify it. I try to clarify
Right? Yeah. See? So what do mean by a lot? What's lots?
If threes a lot for you than three threes alive the bars
speaker-0 (01:22:20.12)
Because I have to tell you like this, man, we haven't brought in a lot of big free name or big free names. They weren't the biggest, right? But they're solid. They're young and they're talented.
speaker-2 (01:22:31.808)
Yeah, once coming off an injury you're hoping he gets back to used to both. Yeah.
speaker-0 (01:22:35.74)
to what you want.
When you see that, what player do you think that we brought in is going to make the biggest impact on this team besides Tyler Lindenbug? Everybody know that Tyler Lindenbug is going to control the offensive line. He's going to do great things. But what free agent that's come in you guys think is going to have the biggest impact on this team?
speaker-1 (01:22:57.058)
So I can't say Linderbond?
speaker-2 (01:22:59.158)
Apparently not!
speaker-1 (01:23:01.582)
You just stole my thunder.
speaker-2 (01:23:04.898)
You're telling the offensive line guy. You can't say the offensive line, bro.
speaker-0 (01:23:10.382)
I feel like everybody's using that one right Tyler Lindemann and I get it Tyler Lindenbug is gonna affect the offensive line
speaker-1 (01:23:18.178)
That's the worst that's the worst other than our wide receivers and actually every other room in the in the team last year That was one of the worst Position rules was the offensive line and the worst coached part of the entire team last year was the offensive line if you don't think that's gonna have an immediate impact having him come here I don't know what to tell you because listen, you're now gonna bona fide center. That's gonna play center in no other position You got JPJ that's now gonna be
the left guard, right guard, whatever. He's going to be one of the guards guaranteed. Colt Mill is going to be the left side. You've already got three lockdown spots, like I said earlier tonight. That offensive line along with that new coach now, this is a totally uncharted waters that we haven't had in a while where we're going to have a solid offensive line. It's just a matter of who fills in the other two spots, who fills in the other guard and the other tackle. You know, whether it's a free agent or not free agent, but whether it's someone we draft or someone that's already on this roster.
You know, this is the potential to have the best offensive line we've had in a while. And it's all locked down with a bona fide pro bowl center that we've now got for three years guaranteed on this roster. I just can't see any other position that's going to increase from what we were last year to this year. Now again, it could all go to shit, but I don't feel that it's gonna. This offensive line is not going to be built to fail. I'm telling you.
speaker-0 (01:24:48.974)
I agree with you and that's why.
speaker-1 (01:24:51.502)
The offensive line, I'm going to say that center position was huge because I think it's JPMJ's head straight again.
speaker-0 (01:24:58.926)
All right, now that we talked about Tyler Lindemar, right? Now let me ask you this then,
speaker-1 (01:25:04.194)
Who's the second most impactful?
speaker-0 (01:25:06.552)
Pre agent that you think we signed besides Tyler Lindon.
speaker-1 (01:25:13.496)
You asking me or Leo? Me? I'm kind of a homer. would have to say Quiddy Pay because now I think it's a bonus.
speaker-0 (01:25:15.042)
Beautiful!
speaker-2 (01:25:22.858)
Yeah.
speaker-1 (01:25:25.804)
Haven't his talent on a play opposite of Max yet. So now you've got a legit edge guy. That's got some power, got some speed, you know, can play the damn game. The linebackers are too easy because those two guys are going to huge upgrade from what we had last year. having a kid like Quiddie Pay on the opposite side of Max, that's massive. Absolutely tremendous having that. So I'm going with him.
speaker-2 (01:25:34.051)
No ba-
speaker-0 (01:25:55.576)
All right, Cheeto besides Tyler Lindenberg, who is the second highest creator?
speaker-2 (01:26:03.086)
I don't even think it's Tyler, bro. I'm going to throw it differently. I think it's the coaching. That's what's going to make the big difference. The fact that they brought in Kubiak, the fact that he brought his offensive line coach. I think that's what's going to make this big difference, because now you have someone who's not here dicking around, not throwing people's elbows at players and, you know, we're having fun. We're here to compete fucking with people's minds like the dudes here on business, football business.
And that's what Kubiak has laid out so far. The cuffs are off of spy tech, right? No longer do I have to bow down or do what this fucking senior old man wants me to do because he's been in the league for so long. Right. His kids are not fucking here anymore. Our linemen are watching YouTube tutorial videos on how to block Khalil Mack.
speaker-2 (01:26:53.102)
So So yeah to me it's the coaching the fact that we we switched to a coaching staff that seems serious And I know a lot of teams were freaking out a lot of people were freaking out over waiting to the end We're gonna end up with nobody. This is what happens when you wait. No They knew what they were gonna get they waited because they knew this dude was gonna come here and shout out to spy tech for having the balls to
Because so many people were saying you can't wait for him as as each fucking week it went by right? All the Seahawks are still in it the Seahawks are still in it. now we got away to the Super Bowl now We got away there were chilling there was talks of web mentor was gone All these other coach started going somewhere else with the Raiders gonna end up with and they didn't fucking flinch, bro Then you once that Super Bowl was gonna happen. They knew who this dude was gonna be and it was Sam. Yeah
speaker-1 (01:27:45.388)
Yeah, and it was pretty much already out in the air before the Super Bowl even happened. we knew he was coming here.
speaker-2 (01:27:52.77)
He's coming. Yeah.
speaker-1 (01:27:55.01)
the
speaker-2 (01:28:00.566)
I'm saying the carol comes are off bro. Yeah
speaker-0 (01:28:06.296)
Damn Cheeto, Ro, damn you, Fork. Thank you, Fork.
speaker-0 (01:28:12.504)
Whooping that ass, because I didn't even think about that answer on that.
speaker-2 (01:28:15.342)
What the fuck is this
What kind of shit did this become?
speaker-0 (01:28:21.644)
You know what I think about free agency, right? And I'm like, if you really think about it, you're right. When you bring a coaching staff of this magnitude and make the changes, that's going to be, we bring the biggest impact, no matter who we bring on. It doesn't matter who we bring on because now we have guys that we are looking at and we're saying that our leaders in the locker room and on the field and know what they're doing. Right.
that have experienced that the guys in the locker, no matter who comes in, is going to look at them and say, hey, man, I know that you know what you're talking about. I know that you can coach me up and make me a better player. It makes a huge difference. I heard Christian Wilkins, he's a pair of Carol.
speaker-2 (01:29:00.14)
Alright
speaker-1 (01:29:02.702)
Yeah.
speaker-2 (01:29:08.782)
because.
speaker-1 (01:29:15.404)
I think the only wild card out of the coaches staff, to be honest with you, is Rob Leonard, because we don't know what that's going to how he's going to handle this. You know what I mean? Being the first time DC. You know that that's that's I think that's the I mean, even enough for nothing, even Spikes and not spy tech, even Kubiak first time head coach, you know, so those are some uncharted positions right there in the coaches staff, you know, him, the offensive coordinator, the defensive coordinator, you know.
speaker-0 (01:29:46.286)
But I really do like the salt and pepper that we have on this team. Like when you talk about this coaching staff, what I mean by salt and pepper is you got experienced guys and young.
speaker-2 (01:29:57.148)
I look like he talked about something
speaker-0 (01:29:59.034)
You bring in youth, you bring in older guys and you make them work together. As in Rob Leonard is coming in, he's inexperienced. He doesn't have that but then you have guys in supporting roles around him.
speaker-1 (01:30:12.952)
Do do do do.
speaker-0 (01:30:15.01)
Which for me, that's important.
speaker-2 (01:30:16.93)
And what did you do that for?
speaker-0 (01:30:19.043)
Yeah.
speaker-1 (01:30:20.312)
Cause you said salt and pepper, it got me thinking of the song so I was just singing it in my head.
speaker-2 (01:30:26.166)
So is this the single pushing?
speaker-1 (01:30:28.046)
HAHAHAHA
speaker-2 (01:30:32.782)
man, man, man.
speaker-1 (01:30:36.142)
Yeah.
speaker-0 (01:30:37.08)
Cheeto like it like I said, man, you can
speaker-1 (01:30:38.84)
TOO BIG
speaker-2 (01:30:39.31)
the
speaker-1 (01:30:46.158)
Black pepper, salt!
speaker-1 (01:30:56.718)
Pink Himalayan
speaker-0 (01:31:01.538)
Man, these dudes, bro. Come on now, man.
speaker-2 (01:31:05.502)
I'm glad you explained it though. That's why I asked wait. What do you mean by salt?
speaker-0 (01:31:09.382)
No. You know what? No, Jeff, I get it that you're
speaker-1 (01:31:09.9)
Thank you.
speaker-2 (01:31:14.41)
That's good though of veterans and young and then we're gonna have the rookies come in with the younger guys They're not the old older vets, right? We're one the youngest teams, bro And that's not always a bad thing
speaker-0 (01:31:26.894)
No, when you do this is it's like this, you know, so when you coach, right, when you're a young man, it's hard. Like my son is going through the experience now. He's coaching. He's he's learning. He actually called me today. You go. Yeah, I got a real like my son is Brandon Carol right now. He's living his life. But like, oh, bro, like he called me and said, Dad, what's the positioning and how does the foot work?
speaker-2 (01:31:40.076)
You got Brian Carroll.
speaker-0 (01:31:55.864)
have to go, but he's asking the right questions, right? He's learning. And that's where you go with Rob Leonard, right? He's going to learn, man. He's going to make mistakes. But when you have those guys that are around him that have that experience, they can be like, Hey man, do this. Hey, you know what? This isn't going to work out. And I really do see these teams being able to, or these guys working together and this coaching actually being cohesive.
I'd be like, well, they took a picture of them going freaking hiking together. They're trying to build that culture in that.
speaker-2 (01:32:29.72)
To build that team that camaraderie when you do stuff like that. Yeah
speaker-0 (01:32:33.538)
Yeah, so I really do feel like that's going to change a lot of things. Holy cow. You're the close to the chat.
speaker-2 (01:32:37.432)
Yeah. No, I do.
Yeah
speaker-1 (01:32:45.198)
you
speaker-0 (01:32:45.708)
Holy shit, sorry guys, sorry.
speaker-1 (01:32:48.205)
check.
speaker-2 (01:32:48.718)
Chat is a wild one bro. Our child is a wild one. Yeah Right
speaker-1 (01:32:53.24)
Ha ha
speaker-0 (01:32:56.846)
Wait, wait, who's dick maybe said that miss something who is shower
speaker-2 (01:33:02.886)
Wilkins you know how in the XFL they used to have nicknames like he hate me stuff like that So the question was if Christian Wilkins was in the XFL, what would his nickname be? And of course Dixon Headmaster had me fucking dying and the chat has just been going since that Headmaster Freaky Masters shower time Slippery one way
speaker-1 (01:33:24.135)
over it.
speaker-2 (01:33:29.87)
and
man, man forehead kisses. Yeah, whatever it is bro tender. Yeah
speaker-1 (01:33:44.684)
huh.
speaker-0 (01:33:45.536)
man.
But when you bring in like all those things and you said to you know, bad, that to me, you're absolutely correct, bro. I'll give the hands down to you that that is the biggest fucking signing that the Raiders have had this whole offseason. I'll be like, and it's been crazy to think about it. But yeah, no matter what player we bring in, I feel confident that we can actually like have him grow and develop.
speaker-2 (01:34:15.662)
Yeah, bro, that's why I was saying it was a process when we started our offseason shows, right? Who's the Raiders gonna draft? Who are they gonna sign? Like bro, can we get a coach first?
Right like steps y'all the steps to it once we got Kubiak. All right, who are they gonna trap? Can we go through free agency first?
speaker-1 (01:34:35.318)
the
speaker-2 (01:34:44.77)
Yeah, we got the QB coach. He was paying man, not paying Eli Manning's quarterback coach when there's wrong with the Giants.
speaker-1 (01:34:47.062)
Happen this afternoon. You have a QB coach.
speaker-1 (01:34:56.194)
Did it come over from the stairs?
speaker-0 (01:34:58.12)
Yeah.
speaker-1 (01:35:00.184)
Wong Dong Silkins?
speaker-2 (01:35:05.294)
Lord, Lordy Lordy Lordy Lord. my Lord. The chat is insane, y'all. The chat, the chat, the chat.
speaker-0 (01:35:22.19)
All right.
speaker-1 (01:35:30.779)
Did.
speaker-2 (01:35:33.55)
my god
speaker-0 (01:35:35.916)
I'm gonna ask you two guys this. If there's any player that you can draft in this draft that you want to see in silver and black, any player, what player is it and why?
speaker-2 (01:35:48.411)
I got that easy.
speaker-2 (01:35:52.632)
Jacob Rodriguez.
speaker-0 (01:35:55.202)
Why?
speaker-2 (01:35:56.352)
I love him. I love the way he plays his style. I the linebacker position. The only thing is the way this draft is unfolding. I don't know if he's going to be the one that we end up taking because we pick so high in the second round. You know, would it be a reach at thirty six? He was one of my favorite players to watch that Texas Tech defense was so good. He was one of the players I watched. And then, he was just one of my favorite college players this year.
Jacob Rodriguez, obviously it would be Jeremiah love because Notre Dame running back, but that would never happen. We already have running back Uh-huh. Yeah, but for me right now the position we're in I would say Jacob Jacob Rodriguez would be the one that I would absolutely love. Yeah. Hmm. Yeah, big luck is leadership. There you go
speaker-0 (01:36:43.276)
I can't get you this minimize on this screen right now for some reason, you know. Yeah, I do.
speaker-1 (01:36:47.875)
Ha ha!
speaker-0 (01:36:55.224)
Bye.
I don't
speaker-1 (01:37:01.102)
Yeah, you got to take the banner off because you can't click on it You just do this click that and then click the small picture next to you look at your camera down below Do it
speaker-0 (01:37:05.422)
Jeff, go ahead.
speaker-0 (01:37:14.862)
I'm not bragging.
speaker-1 (01:37:16.29)
But you want my answer now? Extremely, extremely disappointed or surprised. I mean, it's night and day comparison between the body style on him versus Sebas. So that in itself is amazing. Now, I'm curious. I can't wait to see how you guys I want to see the tight end from Oregon.
speaker-0 (01:37:18.74)
I everybody hates
speaker-2 (01:37:24.462)
It's the kicker,
speaker-2 (01:37:45.794)
Wow, that's crazy. Okay.
speaker-1 (01:37:52.329)
Seriously, hear me out now. Just think of his athleticism, okay? Michael Mayer, unfortunately, would be a thing of the past at that point, all right? Because he would definitely be your number two receiving option, for sure. It would be him and Brock Bowers out there. And think of that lethal combination with those two out there. I mean, this kid could actually play wide receiver. He's that big, that fast, that strong. I mean, he's not a wide receiver.
speaker-2 (01:38:19.028)
I was out of
speaker-1 (01:38:21.762)
Huh?
speaker-2 (01:38:22.806)
If he can, then why hasn't he played YBC?
speaker-1 (01:38:25.806)
I don't know, but I'm just on an NFL level. Why not? just, I, that would be if I had a pick, like if I could say I want that guy and we have no shot at anyone else, I'm from my god. I mean, I think it would be the same thing as taking Brock powers when we took him.
speaker-2 (01:38:48.622)
mean, the kids and athlete definitely won the Underworld Olympics.
speaker-1 (01:38:53.474)
Well, fuck his dad too. mean, it's just his playability, his, you know, just look at them. I mean, the guy's.
speaker-2 (01:39:00.93)
No, no, I get you, I get you.
speaker-1 (01:39:02.764)
I mean, he could be a DK Metcalf style. mean, you know.
speaker-2 (01:39:07.982)
I don't want to move people to a position they're not but you're gonna move this guy to wide receiver
speaker-2 (01:39:19.818)
The kids are an amazing athlete.
speaker-1 (01:39:21.9)
Bob Rock I was doing that we've talked about Jack Bess playing as a tight end too. So what's the difference? You know, I think on those skill positions like that. That's a different take When you do it with an offensive lineman and you moving around and fucking with his head that's different,
speaker-2 (01:39:31.436)
i think the day with brock
speaker-2 (01:39:38.926)
Brock demonstrated he was that dominant in college
The kid you're talking about didn't demonstrate that in college.
Brock you saw what on the field watching call me Motherfucker can do anything. That's why I get it. Yeah. Hell. Yeah, I was I Really was dude. Oh my god. Yeah. Yeah
speaker-1 (01:39:54.05)
That's why I was saying this.
Yeah.
speaker-1 (01:40:01.643)
Yeah.
speaker-1 (01:40:06.37)
Or we can take down my love and trade away gently.
speaker-2 (01:40:09.415)
What chat is Nathan? I'm tired of his shit.
speaker-2 (01:40:14.83)
He's popping around from chat to chat so they don't get him.
speaker-1 (01:40:18.262)
Yeah, they can't catch him.
speaker-2 (01:40:21.418)
It's see the thing with him is he's the kid from Oregon is not a blocking title. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
speaker-0 (01:40:30.488)
So I will tell you like this, right? The guy I would like to see in silver and black, I'm with you, Chito. And I'm thinking, we talked about it with Jeff in another show. Jacob.
speaker-2 (01:40:45.1)
Is Kyler Murray's on them Vikings? Sorry. That kind of color Murray's on the Vikings, bro. Yeah.
speaker-1 (01:40:48.13)
Yeah, I can't get them.
speaker-0 (01:40:53.302)
And draft PPA. I meant two weeks too late, bro. But so I'm with you. Rodriguez, bro. We talked about it and I like, you know what? I like his story, right? And people are going to say, you know his story, but not just his story.
speaker-2 (01:41:11.086)
Yeah,
speaker-0 (01:41:13.898)
It's his leadership. It's the way that he presents himself. And when you talk about guys that are been in the service, guys that go like, hey, when you look at leadership, you guys, I look for a guy that leads by example.
speaker-2 (01:41:29.87)
What happened to Trey Taylor? Didn't we draft him out of Air Force? Wasn't he in the service?
speaker-0 (01:41:35.308)
Yes, I have no idea what happened to trade there. I think you want a guy that's a leader, man, a guy that's going to come in there and have a fiery spirit, a guy that you go in there and you're like,
speaker-2 (01:41:50.582)
He also gotta play ball though!
speaker-0 (01:41:53.873)
Hey.
speaker-2 (01:41:55.598)
If we wanted leaders bro, Navy Air Force Army, would all get drafted
speaker-1 (01:42:01.122)
before anyone.
speaker-0 (01:42:02.124)
Hey, I'll tell you right now, bro, some of those offensive linemen block better than some dudes I've seen in the NFL.
speaker-2 (01:42:08.254)
Then why don't they get drafted?
speaker-0 (01:42:09.902)
Some of them have to go to service and then they're sized.
speaker-2 (01:42:12.93)
Uh-huh.
speaker-0 (01:42:14.766)
But I'd be like, I think Jacob Rodriguez coming in, bro, and bringing in that fiery attitude and being able to stuff that hole. that's what I like. is
speaker-2 (01:42:26.26)
I hope you did.
speaker-0 (01:42:28.246)
The Kobe Dean, like you said, is coming off injury. He's coming back from them. Is he going to be the same guy? We don't know. So why not draft the guy in the third? Because they're saying Jacob Rodriguez is falling to the third.
speaker-2 (01:42:44.534)
No, no way. No, happening. Not happening.
speaker-0 (01:42:46.626)
Well, some people putting out-
speaker-0 (01:42:51.458)
So you don't think he'll slip out of the second?
speaker-2 (01:42:53.294)
Nope, I'm willing to bet you right now he does not drop down on
speaker-0 (01:42:57.41)
Okay. Jeff, do you think Jacob Rodriguez will be? No, no, I like I get it. I like I'm telling you, I think he might be able to slip that for. I don't want to put money on it.
speaker-2 (01:43:01.87)
I'm one who brought it up, I'm talking to you!
speaker-2 (01:43:10.39)
You want you want to put money on it?
I see, because you ain't that sure then, huh?
speaker-0 (01:43:17.334)
That should be-
speaker-1 (01:43:17.838)
I think he's mid second round.
speaker-0 (01:43:22.061)
Bye.
speaker-1 (01:43:22.732)
I don't think he makes it out of the second.
speaker-0 (01:43:25.856)
If we didn't have such a big need for nose tackle in the second round, I would.
speaker-2 (01:43:30.958)
That's why I brought it up, because you're saying that, because you want him.
speaker-0 (01:43:35.508)
yes.
speaker-1 (01:43:36.568)
You
speaker-2 (01:43:37.046)
That ain't happening, bro.
speaker-0 (01:43:40.306)
But I've seen a couple of mock drafts, right? The couple of mock drafts that people bust out. They're not real, you know, I get it. I get it. But you see some people are evaluating him.
speaker-2 (01:43:44.642)
Just say about mock drafts the beginning
speaker-2 (01:43:52.398)
I saw a mod draft where Jeff ended up with 24 or whatever picks. 28! God damn it!
Right?
speaker-0 (01:44:03.384)
But let's be real man, like the people that evaluate it, right? And put out their mock drafts. There's some that people have them slipping past into the third. Some people are saying he's a mid-first, mid-second rounder.
speaker-2 (01:44:14.574)
Some people are saying is LA first.
speaker-0 (01:44:16.066)
Yes, you this and some people are saying he's a late first. Let me ask you this Tito. If he's available for us at in their third round pick, are you pulling the trick or are you drafting?
speaker-1 (01:44:20.654)
more talent for us at 30 Smith.
speaker-2 (01:44:28.823)
Of course.
speaker-1 (01:44:30.028)
If he's there, you'd be stupid not to.
speaker-2 (01:44:32.11)
If Mendoza was there in the third round, would take Mendoza in the third round.
speaker-0 (01:44:36.056)
Hey, hey, hey, hey,
speaker-1 (01:44:37.612)
you
speaker-0 (01:44:39.406)
But I've been like, yo, so you're willing to take the risk on Jacob Rodriguez and say, hey,
speaker-2 (01:44:46.35)
would not be a risk in the third round.
speaker-1 (01:44:49.262)
Absolutely not. It wouldn't be a risk in the end of the first either
speaker-0 (01:44:51.455)
out of
speaker-2 (01:44:54.923)
to me that's still a little high.
speaker-1 (01:44:59.842)
I don't think it would be a risk is what I'm getting. I'm changing my name. I'm going with I'm going with Sonny Styles. I'm going with the linebacker.
speaker-2 (01:45:02.147)
no, no.
speaker-1 (01:45:10.122)
it's not there
speaker-2 (01:45:14.728)
Jeff had a ball at the Underworld Olympics. Those are the two names he came up with. I'm just saying.
speaker-1 (01:45:19.763)
the
speaker-2 (01:45:23.176)
Loved what he saw at the Underwear Olympics in his sunny style.
speaker-1 (01:45:27.822)
I think it was phenomenal, there's no toys about it.
speaker-0 (01:45:31.298)
28th of Hold on.
speaker-1 (01:45:33.922)
Was Rieger. Yeah, Rieger was another one, too, but it looks like he dropped a bit. See?
speaker-0 (01:45:41.134)
I love mock drafts. can fulfill my dreams trading back multiple times a day.
But, alright guys.
speaker-1 (01:45:52.75)
Very few where I've actually taken Mendoza.
speaker-0 (01:45:55.468)
But my question is, we talk trade back, right? Everybody's talking like if you have the opportunity to trade back and get more picks.
talked about it earlier. There's only like two teams that are really, we can really see making a move for a quarterback. The Cardinals and probably the Browns.
speaker-1 (01:46:19.424)
I count four.
speaker-0 (01:46:20.738)
you count for.
speaker-2 (01:46:22.734)
Who were the other two?
speaker-1 (01:46:25.646)
I think it's definitely the Jets the Cardinals the Browns
speaker-0 (01:46:30.808)
Great.
speaker-2 (01:46:32.459)
Pigsford.
speaker-1 (01:46:34.926)
Pittsburgh would probably go all in if they could. I'll tell you right now, Pittsburgh, if Ty Simpson's in when they pick, don't think he's getting past them. They gotta do something. They gotta do something.
speaker-0 (01:46:44.654)
something.
speaker-0 (01:46:49.358)
You know what I I can't disagree with you I think you
speaker-2 (01:46:52.494)
They're they're going off the curtails of. What's his name? Rogers right now still home.
speaker-1 (01:46:59.81)
Yeah, he's still holding them out right now. You know, that's the bullshit with it. This is he's done this for every fucking team, whether he's coming back or not, except for Green Bay. Green Bay just said, yep, you're out of here. Bye bye. You know, Green Bay Green Bay moved on from him and, know, he's done it in Pittsburgh, did it last year. He's doing it now. He did it in New York, you know, so it's like. If I was the team, I'd be like, you know what? I don't give a shit what you're doing. We're moving on from you, whether you're coming back or not.
You know, don't play these games, you know, I'm going to go on a darkness retreat. I'll let you know in two weeks.
speaker-2 (01:47:35.168)
I don't even recognize Pittsburgh anymore with McCarthy and what they're doing over there like it's no it's weird to me. Being held hostage by Rogers like that like you know I would never
speaker-1 (01:47:46.446)
You can't. That shit. And that's like you see people saying, we should bring in Aaron Rodgers. No, absolutely not. No, not even because of his. I just don't want that bullshit of him holding out over us. And I was like, oh. He should have fucking retired when he was done in Green Bay should have just called it a day there.
speaker-2 (01:48:01.1)
Yeah.
speaker-0 (01:48:12.462)
Let me let me ask you this chap. When we look at all these organizations, right? We call ourselves were desperate for a quarterback position. We're desperate for everything, just like the Pittsburgh Steelers are. Why is that every single name that comes up? As in like a possibility free agent name, we're talking Kirk cousins now, right? All these veteran names coming up for the Raiders because we're drafting a rookie QB.
speaker-2 (01:48:42.599)
Because we all think that a rookie shouldn't start because we heard someone say that Brady doesn't want his rookies to start
speaker-1 (01:48:51.726)
pretty much what he just said. I mean, seriously.
speaker-0 (01:48:55.566)
Hey, so but wow. So when people hear this, right? Because the thing is now they're saying, oh, if you draft Fernando, if you draft him number one.
Do you set them? Do you start them?
What is your position on that guys? I'll be like, I don't know if you guys would start them from the get or do you guys bring in a veteran to hold down the ship?
speaker-1 (01:49:25.382)
I'll take this one first. I'll be quick actually To sit here and say do you start him ideas do you sit him? I Think that all depends on what happens during training camp preseason if he plays and maybe in those games and he outplays anybody else on this on this team as quarterback then he's No, he earns that right to be the starter
speaker-0 (01:49:46.67)
You are.
speaker-1 (01:49:51.544)
But if there's any doubt where they don't think he's gonna do well as a starter from starting at week one, then obviously you don't start him. We have to bring in a third QB. We cannot go into the season with say AOC 12 starting and him as the backup and that's it. We need to have a third option. It's not so much a veteran presence to groom, that should annoy me sometimes.
speaker-2 (01:50:17.454)
quarterback from the FCS what do we do draft two of them last year touchdown Tommy and Ken Miller
speaker-1 (01:50:23.694)
the
speaker-2 (01:50:45.902)
happens.
speaker-1 (01:50:54.146)
I mean, if you want to get the true value for your number one pick, then I don't see a reason why you shouldn't be starting if he's that good in preseason and training camp and he's doing everything he needs to do and he shows it, then fucking stop him. If he doesn't, then you don't stop him.
I'm not worried about the protection form right now. It's got a running game. It's got an offensive line that should be a hell of a lot better than last year. Biggest thing, wide receivers.
But you won't have to throw much. just be handed it all. And five yard dumpers to.
speaker-2 (01:51:29.579)
shoulder fades.
speaker-0 (01:51:32.302)
Five yard fades.
speaker-2 (01:51:33.656)
Back shoulder, back shoulder.
What up, man?
speaker-0 (01:51:38.784)
I get it. Jeff is saying you gotta win it out in preseason. You gotta be the guy.
speaker-2 (01:51:46.312)
QB's nowadays are...
speaker-0 (01:51:46.552)
you
speaker-2 (01:51:52.012)
Different than I think that mentality of they have to sit is a little different But I also think that you have to make sure they're ready before you put them out there If you think about when Derek Carr went out there and he beat Whoever was supposed to be your start of that year. He demonstrated You know, he beat shop he showed leadership He showed that the team was gonna get behind him even though we only won a couple games that year But you saw that the position
speaker-1 (01:52:09.582)
Smash Schwab.
speaker-2 (01:52:21.046)
Had somewhat of a thing, right? So Mendoza can come into this season and do the same then I wouldn't be opposed to him starting honestly, not really right if We're coming into the season and it's gonna happen It's gonna be like AOC throwing dimes You know, hondo saying that AOC just looks like a whole nother quarterback that's gonna come out. That's what happens in the offseason, right?
But at the end of the day, this kid was drafted. Number one, he's going to start eventually. It's just a matter of when Kubiak and his coaches think he's ready. Right. I, one thing that I would want, and I don't know if they would do it, but I would do as a coach is make sure that that line is stable enough so that we don't destroy this kid. If that line is holding its own and it's like, okay, this is a lot better, but if it's still struggling and we need to fix it, I'm throw even back there for a little bit. Okay.
speaker-1 (01:53:20.354)
the
speaker-2 (01:53:31.987)
We how bad the O-line was when preseason started. Remember, Yeah. We were like, what the hell was that?
speaker-1 (01:53:39.19)
I, I smacked, I've smacked Will in the face with some knowledge Saturday night that he didn't know about and was shocked.
speaker-0 (01:53:45.932)
with the limited guys, I'd be like limited physical practice. I'd be 28 practices total for a season. All content.
speaker-1 (01:53:56.846)
14 from the starter training camp until the last preseason week and then 14 during the regular season including that 14 out of the 18 weeks also includes postseason too. So you have to have, you can only have 14 full padded contact the entire season, including playoffs. How physical can these guys get?
speaker-2 (01:54:19.63)
Not all of them.
speaker-1 (01:54:23.064)
You know, especially rookies. Rookies are the ones that get the biggest injustice in this. So their full contact doesn't come until they actually get in a preseason game.
speaker-2 (01:54:33.182)
We can talk about it all the time. Well all the time
speaker-1 (01:54:36.342)
It's horrible now that this collective bargaining agreement and the rules that they've got in training camp and practices, they have the guarantee they have to give them a day off. They can't take, you can't do consecutive weeks of, like you can't stockpile your days. So if you go three weeks without a physical practice, you can't do two days that week. You can only do one a week, but you can only do it 14 times in the entire season.
That's fucking crazy. So so 14 times you could go two weeks and not have a physical practice. It's not it's absolutely not.
speaker-2 (01:55:12.526)
And link were so mad last year that those young kids weren't getting playing time and everybody was like well They're not showing it in practice what practice? Yeah, they're not doing shit
speaker-1 (01:55:22.028)
No. No. I realized that that 90 % of the time in practice, it's either it's either shorts and t shirts or it's helmets and shorts and t shirts. They only put pads on the shoulder pads on the pants one day a week. And that's it. The rest of it's all fucking helmets walk throughs. You can still do two days.
speaker-0 (01:55:24.782)
Yeah.
speaker-1 (01:55:48.482)
but one of those sessions have to either be walk-throughs or film sessions. Can't be out on the field and like physically running around or whatever. So if you do two a days, one of your sessions during the day is full physical activity, but no contact, because you can't do contact on two a days. And the other one has to either be limited walk-throughs or film sessions. That's how fucked up it is. That's how pussified the NFL is.
speaker-2 (01:56:16.43)
So I was wondering how they still get hurt at practice.
speaker-1 (01:56:19.598)
Yeah. Will brought it up perfect on Saturday night. goes, he goes, how the hell do I teach a kid to tackle the right way with all the rule changes in the NFL too? With these guys, you know, with the drop, the hip drops, the horse collars and all that. And you wonder why our team was so bad last year because not only were our coaches not coaching, they didn't get the proper enough of time to even coach with these guys. That's the worst part.
speaker-2 (01:56:33.622)
you can't even on a tackling dummy
speaker-1 (01:56:45.838)
You know, so it's twofold for us last year. Horrible coaching and not even having the ability to coach the right way. You know? These guys can't even smack each other around. It's it's accurate.
speaker-2 (01:56:59.374)
Talk about practices.
speaker-0 (01:57:11.31)
And here's the thing, Cheeto, we talked about. That's. That's why you're saying it's so simplified. It's so easy that he has to keep.
speaker-1 (01:57:13.704)
He's not the head coach from Indiana. Yeah. Yeah
speaker-2 (01:57:22.859)
Guys turn there should be let's
speaker-1 (01:57:24.77)
the
speaker-2 (01:57:30.094)
Look at the slides, y'all!
It's the crocs and the slides! shut up the crocs.
speaker-0 (01:57:38.574)
But Cheeto, I'm with you, man. I mean, like, I want this guy to sit. I want him to when you put him out there, I want him to be ready. The reason is a lot of guys have fragile state of minds. But I'm not saying that he does. I'm saying a lot of guys do. You have to look at it and say, hey, man, he's not built like the old school. You have to look at it and say, these are new school guys.
speaker-1 (01:57:53.633)
I he does.
speaker-1 (01:58:07.475)
players are anymore.
speaker-0 (01:58:10.252)
That's what I'm saying.
speaker-2 (01:58:11.918)
think he's one of the few though that is. That's the one thing I do like about this kid. As nerdy and as dorky as he is, to me he does have that to him. And I saw when he got knocked in the playoffs, when he got knocked by Ohio State and then when he got drilled by Miami.
speaker-0 (01:58:31.383)
And I mean, like, I don't think it's not that he's tough or anything like that. Right. Or mentally or mentally tough or whatever. What I'm saying.
speaker-2 (01:58:34.638)
Now I don't use the T word. All right, this off Jeff.
speaker-1 (01:58:42.72)
I'm gonna doggin' him.
speaker-2 (01:58:43.97)
There you go, there it is!
speaker-0 (01:58:47.802)
is a monster. But yo, I'll tell you like this. When you bring in a young guy, and he has success, and then sometimes he's gonna go through the highs and lows. Man, the NFL is fucking brutal. Raider nation is brutal.
I'd like for this guy to go.
speaker-2 (01:59:08.302)
If you let them beat you like that. You know what I mean? Yeah.
speaker-0 (01:59:13.262)
You know, like, bro, eventually it keeps pounding on you, And you know, bro, we've all been at games where there's some dudes that you're like, I can't believe this. I know why I got flipped off. I know why he's acted like, you know, this when we all know this. And yeah, I didn't do nothing right. The guy literally looks at you and says, fuck you. I didn't do nothing, bro. I didn't say nothing.
speaker-2 (01:59:31.342)
Sir, I didn't do nothing.
speaker-1 (01:59:34.936)
Ha ha ha!
speaker-2 (01:59:43.498)
I'm a dedicated to the UFL.
speaker-1 (01:59:46.222)
What what? What rate of pizza said is exactly what I explained on Saturday night, too. You know, they can't when they do the walkthroughs or the you know, when they're in full pads, they can't even they can't hit like they can't tackle it. You physically cannot tackle it. But if you do, you get fined in practice. OK, so you can't tackle anybody. You can't hit a receiver. You can't hit the running back. As soon as you make that wrap up, fud sound plays over stops right there.
That's what it is. They play to the thud. That's what they call it. It's only a time before this league turns into the flag football league. That's what it's going to come to.
speaker-0 (02:00:28.568)
So, and I'll ask you guys this, now that we talk about that and going high thud and doing all that, is that the reason why we're missing so many tackles in the league? We're sitting here going against dummies like Cheeto said?
speaker-1 (02:00:38.036)
I thought more.
speaker-2 (02:00:41.614)
Remember you You had to retrain people how to tackle how to hit the way we were taught was you just threw your whole fucking body in there like a missile Not have been the smartest thing in the world, but hey, that's what we did, right? so you had to retrain that out of the athletes already and then now you're limiting how much contact you can have and
It's going to go with one with one with the other, bro. It's going to it was going to happen. Yeah. You know how hard it is to be a DB in the league nowadays? You can't even breathe all these motherfuckers without coming out, bro.
speaker-0 (02:01:21.358)
We talked about it as well. A defensive lineman, bro. How are you supposed to stop your momentum from falling on top of you are 350 pounds of pure mama jam.
speaker-0 (02:01:35.682)
Like, how are you gonna stop yourself from falling on top of this guy?
speaker-2 (02:01:41.238)
All
speaker-2 (02:01:49.858)
Yeah, I almost fell on Noah bro because my momentum was not gonna stop me from moving that way And I was like bro, you don't about to land on you dog
my lord.
speaker-0 (02:02:09.678)
You played football, Cheetah.
speaker-2 (02:02:12.268)
Yeah, I did, bro. I played football in high school.
speaker-1 (02:02:16.982)
He's so short he was the kickin'
speaker-2 (02:02:19.566)
You gotta remember the tallest guy on our team was six two that'll tell you that
speaker-1 (02:02:25.484)
No.
speaker-0 (02:02:29.294)
It's a job I believe.
speaker-1 (02:02:31.192)
We didn't build them that big when I was in high school.
speaker-0 (02:02:39.276)
Here you go, there.
speaker-2 (02:02:42.54)
I played flag football in the Navy.
speaker-1 (02:02:46.624)
I played in the men's
speaker-2 (02:02:50.69)
Yeah, yeah, did the flag football thing.
speaker-1 (02:02:52.728)
So on Sunday I did something a little special. went, Dawn and I went to a buddy of mine. His, he runs a, card show organization. It's like the biggest one in the state and actually kind of in New England now. So I ended up picking up some football. haven't bought football cards in years, so I picked up five Ashton Genti rookie cards while I was there.
speaker-0 (02:03:18.07)
Nice!
speaker-1 (02:03:19.575)
I get them and Dawn's like, why'd you get those? She goes, I thought you didn't like him. I said, why does everybody say I didn't like him?
speaker-2 (02:03:26.221)
There's a reason we say that Jeffrey that's all I'm gonna say
speaker-0 (02:03:29.388)
Damn!
speaker-2 (02:03:31.564)
It's not for nothing, but hey, we put words in your mouth.
speaker-1 (02:03:36.11)
Right? Jesus.
speaker-2 (02:03:38.87)
See, I'm not the only one who said that. So if I'm not the only one who said that, what does that say? There's a consensus out there that you're not a fan of his.
speaker-1 (02:03:50.044)
I never said I wasn't a fan of his. just didn't like the way that we were going to go about bringing them in. We weren't doing them any justice and we didn't do them any justice last year. Anywhere else.
speaker-2 (02:03:58.326)
And yes, there was a rundown sighting.
speaker-1 (02:04:02.944)
I got the picture to prove it. He is not a I he's a real person.
speaker-0 (02:04:08.27)
Yo, that was like my next thing. Yo, Tito. How was your event this weekend? Man, I heard you got 90 picnic baskets guys. They're still a little short, so if you guys got some time to donate, please make sure the Easter baskets.
speaker-2 (02:04:13.57)
Yes.
speaker-2 (02:04:24.748)
I was like, you're like a yogi bear over here?
speaker-0 (02:04:31.404)
That's good.
speaker-2 (02:04:34.414)
Bro he said those cards come in actual gente size anything against short people. Yeah
speaker-1 (02:04:41.72)
No!
speaker-0 (02:04:42.732)
But you got
speaker-2 (02:04:44.696)
Clowns on Mekai Lemon. He clown on Kyle and Murray.
speaker-0 (02:04:49.432)
You know, got 90 Easter baskets. You're still short. So guys, if you guys can donate or find it in your heart to help out another guy, hit up our boy Tito Linus man, and make sure that you guys donate to a great cause because my man is doing out there doing great work. So tell us about it, bro.
speaker-2 (02:05:10.546)
I was fun bro. got together in the city of Fontana. It was our Easter picnic out there in the community. It was our South TBH New England. I mean TBH New England, TBH England Empire. My boy Mike from Raiders Against the World and of course Sugar Free. I'm Joe from the Raider Misfits. It was a lot of fun bro. I brought burgers out there. Your boy was on the grill. Mike bought his little portable propane grill.
I was out there grilling dancing, know wouldn't be a party without cheeto dancing and I was dancing so I was definitely out there they had the Easter bunny come out the kids had a hell hell of a time bro each club donated at least 200 eggs There were prizes for the kids to redeem bunny bucks. There was an Easter bunny store Lots of hot dogs lots of food somebody brought carnasada I just saw it on the table opened it up do it on the girl and said hey man is ready So I was just out there cooking
It's a good old time. Shout out to my boy, Mariachi. He was out there. My homegirl, Raider Villa, she was out there as well. Came down from up north. Mariachi came from Texas. His parents actually live in the IE. So they live nearby. So he was out here to visit them. So he swung by. Shout out to TMBC, man. They came through. They donated 25 Easter baskets themselves. And then shout out to everybody that came through. Like I said, we gathered around 90. Our goal was 150. Then with whatever money we had,
Leftover and then of course shout out to my boy Jeff. That's why I had your club in my mind a shout out to TBH New England They donated $50 as well on the day after so I'm go ahead and pick up the rest of the baskets that I need to bring in and then we're gonna donate them on Thursday Thursday mm-hmm Thursday morning, so you'll see a video come out of us going over to the organization and we're gonna go ahead and uh and Donate them so that'll be fun. I'm gonna wear my 909
Raider jersey that day. So they'll see TBH IE. So you'll know which one is me. But yeah, man, it was fun. It was a lot a lot a lot of fun, man. It was a lot of fun out there. Got to meet a bunch of different new people, people that for a front Fontana that saw our flyers and just happened to be in the community. Right. yeah. They just came to do I saw your flyer. Come and check it out. So we welcome them with open arms. Yeah, dude. Shout out to the vendors that donated.
speaker-2 (02:07:29.442)
We had so much that they donated for the basket that we made. It was it was insane, bro. The nation pinkings, dark side, hotheads. It was insane just how big and awesome the basket was. I posted some of the pictures on our TBH website. So check it out. It was out there. It was cool. Look forward to collabing again more with with with Midswift and with Mike. You know how Mike is. We get along so well. So we're looking at possibly doing a back to school thing. Come on.
Come next, the beginning of the next school year.
speaker-1 (02:07:59.822)
backpack and stuff like that. Yeah, that's a good one to do.
speaker-2 (02:08:03.478)
So we're probably going to look into doing something like that doing more collapse as far as giving back to the to the community. Shout out to my girl. You she was out there making sure that we had everything that everything looked cute for the kids that the kids had fun. Shout out to the wives and the girlfriends that were out there from the club members as well. They were out there doing the thing. Mar Mike's wife holding it down in the booth while Mike was running around getting a generator, getting the DJ. The cord on the generator broke. Mike had to go back to home. Get another one. Yeah.
speaker-1 (02:08:31.41)
Hahaha!
speaker-2 (02:08:33.755)
Yeah bro, so shout out to the girls as well.
speaker-1 (02:08:36.206)
I saw the I saw the pictures that you put up and then I saw a video I think Mike put out He put out a video to avoid he captured that day So, know what kudos to you guys man. That's a great thing. He did over there for those kids. That's awesome I love it. Yeah, I love it Everybody involved good job
speaker-2 (02:08:57.646)
Interview too. So hopefully that comes out soon. Not like yeah, oh you guys can see he interviewed us and kind of a lot of the footage that was out there what was going on. Yeah
speaker-0 (02:09:07.714)
Hell yeah man, shout out to our boy Dub Raider for always out there and grabbing content man.
speaker-1 (02:09:15.831)
Well done, Nia, round of applause for you and everybody involved
speaker-0 (02:09:20.514)
Yeah. I'd be like, it's really cool to see like everybody doing something different, right? I've seen Jeff do stuff with their club. Now I see Leo going out there and like getting out in the community. And you know what, Leo, this is the first time I've actually got somebody say, man, like they saw my flyer and they just showed up out of nowhere. said, Hey,
speaker-2 (02:09:21.07)
It's true, isn't it?
speaker-2 (02:09:42.926)
Yeah, they say they saw the flyer on social media.
speaker-0 (02:09:45.952)
Which for me, I'm like, man, that's.
speaker-2 (02:09:48.558)
And it was on Facebook of all places. So that tells you the age of the people. But yeah.
speaker-1 (02:09:54.913)
Hahaha!
speaker-2 (02:09:57.442)
But hey, so those of you say, why do you guys still go on Facebook? That's why.
Mm-hmm.
speaker-1 (02:10:05.634)
Not everybody's on Instagram.
speaker-2 (02:10:07.732)
No, not everybody's on Instagram or YouTube and a lot people. Yeah.
speaker-0 (02:10:12.686)
You had two unique experience. One, you said, hey, and Cheeto is really humble guys. I know I call him the world famous Cheeto Linus. I never meet him. I'm like, he's a humble dude. I'd be like, he's, he's really chilled and laid back. But you told me, man, Hey, I had somebody recognize me from your show, you know, or from your YouTube channel that they've seen you on YouTube. And two, now you had somebody also see your flyers and just show up.
She does that make you feel? does that make you like, be like, honestly, we're just personalities, right? On YouTube and how does that mean?
speaker-2 (02:10:50.766)
It's a it's a mission accomplished. That's why we do it, you know when we come on here and we talk about events That's the point It's not for you know, for whatever reason people might think for the cloud or all that But you know, it's to get the word out there about the things that we're doing, know Even someone like Jeff who's all the way on the East Coast someone like you who's in Colorado You know just being able to mention it and then seeing it that way That's the whole point. So to me it's mission accomplished, you know that that that we're able to do this I mean the YouTube thing
You know, it is what it is. We enjoy here. We love talking ball, you know, talk about each other. I would have hung out with some of you in person. You know, we do. That's all we do is talk ball, especially Bob, you know, You know, that's all we do. You know, my girl be around us. Come back. You guys are still talking about the Raiders like, yes, that's all we do. What do you think we do?
speaker-1 (02:11:40.142)
We do.
speaker-2 (02:11:42.51)
Like that's all we do So yeah, it's just cool to be able to do that I didn't get to do much of that on Saturday But then again, like I said, um, I guess I'm used to doing this so Start cooking making the hamburgers the hot dogs, you know and stuff like that. So just just to get it out there So it's definitely cool to be able just to hang out with people and stuff
speaker-1 (02:11:54.017)
to play the ball now.
speaker-1 (02:12:06.52)
the
speaker-0 (02:12:14.094)
the bad and guys we got a couple other events that are going to be happening I know that I don't have the flyers but we have the bill
speaker-2 (02:12:23.394)
Producer, you don't have the flyers?
speaker-0 (02:12:25.164)
I don't have the flyers, man. I don't know what I did with the flyers. I couldn't bring them up.
speaker-2 (02:12:30.387)
Good thing we got Jeff here. Jeff is the flyer guy
speaker-0 (02:12:32.896)
Yeah, Jeff is the fire guy. But you know, Sacramento will be having their draft party up there at a shenanigans. Make sure that you guys hit them up, man. Bill Romanowski will be in the house. All sorts of people.
speaker-2 (02:12:49.26)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you reminded me of one. Go ahead. Uh-huh.
speaker-0 (02:12:52.386)
There we go. Sorry. you know, hey, make sure that you guys head out there to citrus or to citrus sites for our brother. We get even Chavez and TBH Sacramento men. They're a great group. Carmen will be a great, great care of you. And what a big easy TBH. House baby. Cheeto, you got another.
speaker-1 (02:13:08.343)
easy.
speaker-2 (02:13:14.36)
What's up, Big Easy?
speaker-2 (02:13:18.958)
So true, Bob. MC Rader couldn't handle all the reader talk. Yeah, Arizona, West Valley. So what's going on here is keep out for them. They have their diehards. Diehards is having their draft party and they're going to have Lester Hayes. Lester Hayes is going to be in there doing autographs and things like that. So they're in Arizona. Make sure you look up diehards and find their event for the Lester Hayes signing that's going to be happening. And then, of course, TBH one.
speaker-0 (02:13:22.818)
Hey!
speaker-2 (02:13:48.736)
At the palms, right? day of the draft Thursday. The draft party. What's that?
speaker-0 (02:13:52.014)
Cheeto, will you be there? At the draft party? No, because you're gonna be at the draft, right?
speaker-2 (02:13:59.842)
I'm not going.
speaker-1 (02:14:00.468)
He's not good. No, but we don't want to me in person. I think that's what it's come down to
speaker-2 (02:14:07.296)
I'm still not working. I'm responsible. It would be nice. No, I'm to tell Wilfredo
speaker-1 (02:14:12.267)
I know, I'm kidding, Jesus Christ!
speaker-0 (02:14:16.078)
I don't know.
speaker-2 (02:14:26.602)
Who knows man the way should be going on these airports and my fucking like lock me up and take me away because of the way I look shit
speaker-1 (02:14:32.974)
Yeah.
speaker-0 (02:14:34.552)
What the hell?
speaker-1 (02:14:36.558)
the
speaker-2 (02:14:40.974)
Y'all laugh bro, but this is no pile
speaker-2 (02:14:46.466)
For real, bro, it real.
speaker-1 (02:14:50.318)
The the setup the way I saw a map of it I don't know if it's a hundred percent word the way it's gonna be but if you look at Google Maps you look at the stadium on the east side of the stadium is where they're set up and actually have the The draft itself like that's where everything's gonna happen the day, you know when the actual draft is up and running on the other side of the stadium on the west side of the stadium is gonna be like the whole fan zone thing like all the interaction
speaker-2 (02:15:19.212)
than.
speaker-1 (02:15:20.62)
But Wednesday night at six o'clock to ten o'clock, it's at Mike's Bear Bar, which is literally right across the street from the stadium. This is where they're to have this big meet and greet from six to ten. So I know 805 said that the other night he wanted to scope out everything. But just to let you know, 805, that party is literally right there at the stadium. It's when I say it's across the street, I mean, it's legit across the street from the stadium. So we'll do everything.
speaker-2 (02:15:49.688)
Things should be there.
speaker-1 (02:15:51.66)
Yeah. But I definitely want to scope it out, too. Like he was saying, I want to figure out what you know, like where we need to make sure we know where we're going on Thursday when we get there. So we're not wandering around like a bunch of idiots trying to figure out how to get in the damn thing, because I need to do as little walking as possible.
speaker-2 (02:16:09.28)
Sure, they have signs to tell you where to go.
speaker-1 (02:16:14.401)
Maybe, maybe they will.
speaker-2 (02:16:15.502)
going to expect you to walk around with a compass, which is the east side of the stadium.
speaker-1 (02:16:19.598)
Anybody that knows general directions be able to tell anyway
speaker-0 (02:16:20.546)
What's with the compass?
speaker-0 (02:16:26.35)
Bye!
speaker-2 (02:16:26.67)
I'm on the west side like fuck like I carry a compass, bro
speaker-0 (02:16:34.955)
About the west side of the building
speaker-1 (02:16:41.304)
Yeah
speaker-2 (02:16:43.522)
Go west on hold. Left or right, bitch? Which one do I go?
Yeah, find the sun, there you go Big Easy.
speaker-1 (02:16:52.289)
But anybody that is planning on going to the draft the actual physical draft hit me up I know 805 is going out there severe is going out there Christian protect the shield is going out there Make sure you hit one of us up. We're all gonna be out there. So I Can't wait man. I know Mike's going Mike and Mara going now
speaker-2 (02:17:13.025)
Yeah, yeah, Mike, he's going I talked to him this week.
speaker-1 (02:17:15.662)
I think Predator, I Anthony's going too. I know Scream's going.
speaker-0 (02:17:23.214)
Man, that's gonna be awesome.
speaker-2 (02:17:25.355)
You know what we did in Detroit?
speaker-1 (02:17:28.247)
follow the signs.
speaker-2 (02:17:31.853)
And so draft cool
speaker-1 (02:17:34.701)
Sure, I'm looking forward to actually you know the first night and obviously the second night at least the second round Man, I cannot wait for Saturday. I'm dying for Saturday because we're to the hall
speaker-2 (02:17:46.978)
Be here about Thursday and Friday.
speaker-1 (02:17:50.446)
the
speaker-2 (02:18:01.23)
just have to have clear ones, John. Anytime you go somewhere, you gotta have a clear bag,
speaker-1 (02:18:05.868)
Yeah, wife's got one, so I'm all set.
speaker-2 (02:18:07.918)
Travel enough bro. You just know you just bring a clear bag. That's why I have the one from the tbh store a clear backpack Fucking everywhere, but I can even take that in the dodger state and put food on that motherfucker
speaker-1 (02:18:18.222)
The good thing for me is I'm going have my vest on and I got a million pockets on the inside of that thing. So I'm going to be able to carry everything I need to carry.
speaker-2 (02:18:26.136)
Bro I was in the Navy in the 90s, not back when we were mapping shit out with stars.
speaker-1 (02:18:32.046)

Lots of great parties But hey, y'all we've been on for like two hours two and a half hours They're like
I know that it's the slow season. Right now it's really like right. We're waiting to see what happens with the draft. I bet we hit another low. But I want to know what your guys's final thoughts are. What do your guys's thoughts for the nation? What do we got going on?
speaker-2 (02:20:22.614)
It's not slow because once you hit the draft, then it's May. Then we have the schedule release and you think our hopes are up now. Wait till the schedule comes out, bro. That's when you'll see Raider fans is hopes like, bro, we're going to go 14 and three. Like, hell no, we don't lose this many games like. And then training camp will start. We'll see preseason and then start to settle in.
speaker-1 (02:20:46.542)
Well, don't forget, We get a head start on the OTAs, too, because we have a new coach again. Maybe that's why they keep doing this. We keep getting new head coaches so we can stop practices.
speaker-2 (02:20:51.724)
Yeah
speaker-2 (02:20:59.362)
Yeah, that's not right.
speaker-0 (02:21:01.793)
It hasn't been helping so I'll be like whatever it is We need to make sure that we change stuff up. But at the end of the day man like I said What is your what is your thoughts put your final thoughts where do you guys want to like?
speaker-2 (02:21:18.751)

speaker-2 (02:22:15.214)
Well, I'm pretty sure it's not in one state because they're so congested. I'm sure it's like an area, right?
speaker-1 (02:22:19.926)
No, they'd be in downtown Providence, usually on the south side.
speaker-2 (02:22:24.238)
There you go.
speaker-1 (02:22:26.092)
South side's always the shitty side, you know? Jesus!
speaker-2 (02:22:29.646)
Bro you laugh but I was one of those case managers that used to have the outreach on the streets like that
speaker-0 (02:22:32.881)

Dude, what some of the videos from Philadelphia on Kenningston Street? Oh my God. I don't how these people stay, stay standing up and they're still like sound asleep, hunched over. It's hard. It's unbelievable. It's so bad.
speaker-2 (02:23:09.013)
Mm-hmm.
speaker-0 (02:23:10.83)
Well guys, final thoughts?
speaker-2 (02:23:15.71)
I need Jeff to stop being so negative so we can be more positive around here. My negativity comes off of Jeffrey. used to be such a positive guy. And then I don't know what happened.
speaker-0 (02:23:31.516)
You know what is.
speaker-2 (02:23:39.822)
Yeah.
speaker-2 (02:23:48.206)
And shout out to down our last key and 805 for standing ten toes down on their take That Simpson is the better quarterback
speaker-0 (02:23:58.7)
my god.
speaker-1 (02:23:58.862)
I don't care what we do for God, but I just want to trade out the number one pick and get more options. That's my thing.
speaker-2 (02:24:11.126)
And if anybody knows someone at Mitchell in this, can you tell them to please restock the two X in the Marshall and Lynch jerseys? I've been waiting since fucking January and they haven't restocked anything higher than an XO.
speaker-1 (02:24:27.246)
Oh yeah, Manuel wants a Ty Simpson badge too. He's on the Ty. Look at his logo. Look at his icon.
speaker-2 (02:24:37.485)
time.
speaker-2 (02:24:43.264)
on theater. That's a whole other kind of show, that's a whole other kind of show.
speaker-1 (02:24:50.958)
Do John Rader make plans to come out for the Jets game? We're going to New York to play the Jets We're gonna have a lot of festivities going on that weekend. We'll we'll be there
speaker-2 (02:25:02.158)
Jaws going to travel with us this year.
speaker-1 (02:25:05.006)
He said, New York never sleeps. I hope to visit it one day. Looks beautiful. So I make plans for the season when the schedule comes out, My take on everything, final thoughts. I stay positive again still. I don't stop the negativity. If somebody has a dispute with you on what they like for a player or a draft pick, just fucking stop the fighting bullshit, man. Just whatever. I have my opinion. You have your opinion. This person has their opinion. Whatever.

All right, right, John. So I'll give you guys my final thoughts. Hey, at the end of the day, Raider Nation, what y'all need to do is just stay positive. No matter what happens, we don't control this. You have to trust the people that are there in this organization that this organization has put there. And if you do believe in what Spy Tech is doing and you do believe in what Kubiak has brought to the table, we have to be patient enough to see what they do. Regardless, at the end of the day, it's all about one team.
It's all about the Raiders. And we are gonna cheer for this team no matter who we select. So what I would tell you is to be patient and no matter what anybody else says, believe what you wanna believe and believe in the players that you wanna believe in. As Tito says, fan the way you wanna fan.
speaker-2 (02:29:30.744)
That's right.
speaker-0 (02:29:32.782)
